OHMIGOODNESSGRASHUS! It will be difficult (if not impossible) to find a set of sheets of this quality and at this price point that are better (I found one but not sold on Amazon. HINT: It's at a chain store and carries a brand name trusted in bedding for years) - or even as nice, for that matter. I've been researching and looking for these sheets for years because I missed sheets like my grandmother had. I've tripped on some wonderful finds at thrift stores and even accidental finds on bargain sites but learned "old school" sheets are hard to find. I even found a set of Italian percale sheets (Italian-made percale sheets are known to be especially wonderful) specifically made for Bloomingdale's here at Amazon that are close, but not quite as nice as these sheets.BEFORE YOU BUY THESE SHEETS, be sure you understand what "percale" is; it's a weave, not a type of material. It's woven one-under and one-over (weave-over-weft) to create a more durable fabric. When made with untreated, quality ELS (extra long staple) cotton like Supima or BRANDED Egyptian Cotton (be sure it has the Egyptian cotton trade logo - many say they are but only use a blend), THE SHEETS WILL BE STIFF, WRINKLED and possibly even "CRINKLY" like paper / plastic, as some reviewers have described. A tight thread count (tc) weave of quality single-ply fibers can make a near waterproof seal until the fibers smooth and align themselves over time through usage. If you are used to sateen weave (four over, one under), or poly-cotton blend percale and think these will be the same because they are quality cotton, don't buy them. You will be disappointed. If you believe the higher the tc, the better the sheet, I encourage you to pause and re-educate yourself about sheets, fibers, thread count and cotton before purchasing even another pillowcase.If you're thinking of your grandmother's sheets you slept in after she had them for YEARS, remember they were new at one point - you just missed the break-in period. It's the quality cotton, percale weave and wash-after-wash that provided that cool, crisp comforting feel of a refreshing place to renew your body after a long day of summer play. That's the percale most of us remember - the ever-elusive percale we continue to chase. Sheets that never pilled; that stood up to tin soldiers on bivouac in billowy fabric folds; hard plastic dolls' feet digging at the seams as they became lost in the bedding during fitful sleep; summer sweat mixed with bug spray; Vicks' Vaporub and high fevers; an escape for the summer before leaving for college; and finally gifted as a wedding present when we start our own family...this is the percale we "sheet fanatics" are looking for. They are not "just sheets", they are literally the fabric of many of our memories.These sheets give me hope that a new generation will build those memories in our home, too.

I've only been using these a couple of weeks; so, this review is on the initial quality. The sheets are the old-style sheets I remember from my youth (and I am well past my "best-by date". They are crisp to the touch and cool, love the feel. The sizes are very generous, should fit whatever kind of king-size bed you might have. The bottom sheet has elastic all the way around and very deep pockets, fits the Tempurpedic very well with plenty tucked under. The top sheet is long enough to tuck a couple of feet under the foot of the mattress and has generous sides as well (you may need to flip the sides over the top to "hide" the sheets under a spread or comforter. One note: these are not wrinkle free; but, I do not mind wrinkled sheets...…….they smooth out well enough on the bed.

If you are looking to buy percale sheets then you are a very specific type of person who enjoys a cool crisp sheet. Yes, you should already know percale is wrinkly, but throw a comforter and some pillows over it and enjoy a good nights rest. I spent about 10 minutes ironing just the top part of the top sheet that I fold over and the pillowcases.What I found is yes, they are thin but possibly because they are 300 thread count and less than $100. Yes, they are deep, they fit great on my 21 inch mattress. They are not too big for my king bed as you can see in the picture the top sheet doesn't hang way down.The reason I bought these is because I live in Phoenix where it is extremely hot and we have a 3 inch foam topper which made using sateen sheets horribly hot. These percale sheets whisks away the heat and doesn't hold it in.Overall I'm happy with the purchase, they are exactly as expected. Not top of the line and not Kmart junk.

I couldn't wait to get these sheets. I have a Tempur-Pedic bed with Tempur-Pedic sheets that deteriorated within 3 1/2 years and I spent $130.00 on them. I read a lot of great reviews on Abripedic Percale Sheets and decided to order them. The Tempur-Pedic sheets have a 16.5" pocket and I wasn't sure how these sheets would fit but they fit just fine. I washed them and slept on them for the first time last night. Oh My, I love these sheets. They are crisp and not scratchy as I have read from other comments. No, they will not feel like sateen but if you like the feel of a crisp sheet like you would at a nice hotel, these sheets are it. I can't comment on how well they will hold up of course, but these sheets certainly have the feel of a good quality product. I don't know yet how crisp they will be after many washings but I'm hoping they stay this crisp. The only criticism I have is that the top sheet could be longer. If you like to fold over your top sheet at the top end of your mattress, there is not enough sheet to do that. There's just enough top sheet to place at the top of the mattress with a little left over to tuck under at the foot of the mattress but not that much. If the top sheet would be longer, they would be perfect.

These bed sheets have become my favorites. In order to sleep comfortably I need to be cool and most bed sheets don't allow me to do that because so many of them out there are either microfiber (icky, cheap, too warm and fuzzy), flannel (nice but too warm and fuzzy) or cotton sateen (silky smooth but again too warm), all unsuitable for my needs. I had to really search here on Amazon to locate all cotton sheets that weren't sateen but finally located the Abripedic ones sold here. They're all cotton percale which is crisp and cool as opposed to cotton sateen which is akin to silk, making them soft and smooth but trapping in too much body heat. These Abripedic sheets have a crispy, crunchy feel to them right out of the package but they definitely get softer with each laundering. They do wrinkle a lot but that doesn't bother me at all. I'm just so happy to have cool, crisp sheets to sleep in at night. I'll definitely buy more of these in different colors soon.

No more struggling to tuck the top sheet under the mattress. Crisp, cool, cotton percale! I love them and bought 2 sets. Grab them from the dryer quick to experience the least wrinkles..but it’s percale..going to wrinkle anyway. Worth it 👍🏻

These sheets are okay but they are “noisy” and sound like you are sleeping in a paper bag. They feel fine but wrinkle significantly. I would not buy these again, but will use them.

Ordered a king and the fitted sheet and sheet are huge and don’t fit my bed. Very disappointed. Want a refund
