Holt Science & Technology: Life Science

I am using this book for 7th grade science in home schooling. My son is making an A in this class so far and it is so exciting to see him retain the information that he is learning from this book. It conveys the topics in easy to understand sections and explains things in ways that are easy to understand and remember. I could not afford the test book for this, but I used the book to write tests of my own. I am supplementing it with labs that are not in the book, and it seems to be working out well for us. All in all, this is a great book to use.

This book was very helpful for homework completion. My daughter's school requires this book and, rather than have her carry it back and forth, I bought this one for an extra copy at home. It is very helpful when completing the reading selections and homework questions that are required for her class. The book has very nice graphics and is colorful to keep the attention of a middle schooler.

Very useful, received in good condition. Helps with homework and kids don't need to bring their heavy books from school. My daunted is now able to study and learn the topic and not just prepare for a pop quiz. It helps to make notes for review just before an exam. We are going to buy textbooks for every subject every year.

A very good and easy to read introduction to the life sciences/biology. I'm an adult but decided to buy the kid's version because it's easier to understand. You get a clear picture of cells, bacteria, plants, animals,etc. It's laid out nicely going from the simplest life forms to the most complex life form which is humans. Evolution is very interesting.

This textbook navigates you easily and clearly through topics. You can skip or switch them. Also, there are some good simply ideas about the science projects. Moreover, I love the colored pictures, but it is me!

This book was purchased so that my daughter has a resource at home that matches the one in school. The book is great.

A little delay but worth the wait. Book was brand new.
