Easy to load tape into, very well detailed!! Good quality, and sturdy so it doesn't tip when pulling tape.

Very happy with this narwhal! I do think it would be best priced at $12, so value for money is not my favorite. It performs great. It is decently heavy, but the angles are just right to make a one-handed tape pull difficult. Its easy to instal a standard tape roll. Be careful for the tines - they are appropriately sharp! It would make an adorable gift. I have simple design taste and this is a little cuter than what I would normally have in my office…but my littles sure love seeing it and that is why I chose it.

Otto is that guy you keep around the office even he's not that good at his job. He tries hard, sits patiently holding the tape waiting for you to need some. How often do you need tape? Can't be that hard of a job. Just waiting… When the time comes for action, he tries hard. Sometime you get good results, sometimes he loses grip and the tape and it pops up out of his tiny little otter hands. He's not that heavy, so sometimes you need to hold on to him to keep him from falling down or wandering off. I used velcro picture frame mounting tape to hold him to the desk. Also replaced the wheel with one from another dispenser which has helped greatly. He is so cute and so detailed, and he tries so hard. We still love him and keep him around. If you're a type-A worker who would resent an otter that doesn't out perform each time, buy a heavy plain black old school tape dispenser. If you don't mind doing some of his work and letting him take all the credit, he will enrich your life and liven up your workspace.

I bought this is the fox. Arrived in a cute box. Just as pictured. Super cute. Have received a few compliments on it at work. Only thing is the tape touches and sticks to the tail before it reaches the cutting teeth, not a huge issue, but annoying.

This tape dispenser is not only usable but is adorable as well. Love it and plan on ordering another one for a friend.

This tale dispenser is as functional as it is adorable! Good weight for stability. The packaging was excellent; this little guy was very well protected.

This is a sturdy, solid product that should hold up to time and use. It does seem slightly fragile, but I haven't had to test that theory yet, thankfully. The detail, paint, and overall appearance is very cute! The tape spool needs to have a slot that can be used to retrieve/replace the tape. It isn't even spring-loaded, and therefore very difficult to maneuver. The metal teeth are cheaply made. Part of the metal piece bent during transport, and was somewhat difficult to bend back despite this. For the most part the metal teeth helps tear the tape easily, and I've only struggled with that a few times. The excess tape rests on the tail, which is sometimes difficult to lift the tape from - probably due to the paint or finish on the product. If these cons were addressed, I would totally go with 5 stars!

My husband's favorite animal is otters (really), and I found this for his birthday - something to have on his desk at work ... he hasn't seen it yet, but I know he will love it! I promise you, it's adorable, but also not "cutesy" as to embarrass a guy - the colors are actually a little darker than the picture shows, which seems more realistic. The "fur" is beautiful, and even the toes and face are perfectly colored. As others have mentioned, the metal cutter really is super sharp, and sticks out a little, so just be careful. It's not as heavy as a normal "office" tape dispenser, but it does seem sturdy enough to do its job. I am extremely pleased with this purchase and cannot wait to gift it next week. Also, the shipping was quicker than expected, so that was also a nice surprise... living up to the Streamline, Inc. name! I highly recommend this to anyone who loves otters, even if you don't have tape to dispense now, find some and buy this to put it in.

I love this daft design. Nice to have a fun but functional object to hold the sellotape, which gets used all the time. Well made, nice weight to it, so it makes wrapping a lot easier on your own. Sharp cutter and easy to change the old reels over. Very pleased.

Der kleine Otter kam gut verpackt bei mir an. Ich habe ihn als Abschiedsgeschenk für eine Kollegin namens Frau Otter ausgesucht. Auf der Abbildung ist er ganz nett, aber in Wirklichkeit viel süßer! Schade ist, dass keine passende Klebeband Rolle dabei ist.
