Q: Is the power cable attachment compatible with iphone / Anker powercore ? I connected my iphone and it doesnt work.

Yes. I have Anker power-core, there is a cord on the inside of the back pocket, plug straight into Anker, Power cord fits into the pocket, cord runs on the inside of the bag to the plug-in on the back of the bag, located on the strap. There’s also a nice mini pocket on the shoulder strap that I use to keep an extra phone cord/ USB in, that sits right near the plug-in.

Q: Will the 5358 fit in most airline overhead storage?

Yes. It will fit in the overhead cabin. The dimensions are 18 x 11.5 x 7 in

Q: Is the bottom of the Laptop Sleeve well padded?

Yes, it is well padded... I travel a lot with a 15" laptop and this is my daily driver when it comes to backpacks. I'm very rough on my travel gear and it has really held up to the wear.

I would say it holds four really thick textbooks and laptop with electronics nicely. It depends on how many books you plan on stuffing in it.
