The Principles and Practical Application of Acupuncture Point Combinations

Great text book. Well thought out, referenced and explained. Highly recommend!
I learned so much reading and working through this book it has quickly risen into my top five favorite acupuncture texts. I plowed through this in 3 weeks, taking a break halfway to take a 10 hour online course by the author because I was so impressed. This text was informative, well explained and jam-packed with useful ways of looking at point selection for our patients and their presentations. I enjoyed both his online lecture and this text and will be eagerly awaiting more by him.One of my frustrations in learning acupuncture has been the lack of explanation as to why certain points would appear on a list recommended for certain conditions. The more I understood acupuncture theory the more points I would understand but it made, and still makes for a much slower and frustrating learning process. I wish I had this book many years ago as it outlines many different approaches and theories to point combination, explaining why certain points work better with others and why some points work better with some conditions. Not only will this text make clinic more fun and interesting, it will make future learning easier with a greater depth of understanding. I will be going through it again soon to summarize and to make reference copies of charts for the office, and I see myself referring back to it often in the future. Well done David.

Useful and Interesting book
Although I have t read it all yet ( I intend to)I’m sure I’ll learn a lot from this book. I enjoyed reading the first couple of chapters about his introduction to acupuncture and I’m looking forward to reading about his deep understanding on the subject.
