Missing green backdrop . Had to order one through another seller to get it ( which was the $25.00 refund they offered ) or have Amazon ship me an entire new one and pull piece out that was missing and return it (seems like a waste of my time and their money to ship 35 lb. and then 34lb. back to them over pulling missing piece and shipping it to me and now looking at others seems I would've not gotten it even if I had taken that shipment offer) .To get help with missing pieces this is what I did - Help - Self services on right had a contact us button - filled out form and button popped up for live chat with customer service which I did to get the fastest assistance .Everything I did get was sturdy , and easy to assemble . Do wonder why two stands for lights say Cowboy Studio and two do not.Backdrops are packaged in labeled pouches, case for backdrop frame is sturdy and in well made bag . Very easy to set-up and break down as one person . Love the product as a whole other than it was sent missing a piece that was needed immediately and pushed me to reschedule things .

I have had this lighting set for over a year now and can honestly say that it has worked great. I kept the box and put the items back in after use to product the structure. The lighting and backdrop stand are not made to be thrown around but for my needs (and the fact that I'm very careful with ALL of my equipment), it works beautifully. It supports my heavier studio backdrops as well.

WARNING: This review is subjective, based on my own needs.That out of the way... I like the light stands and umbrellas. Their quality reflects the (very reasonable) price; a little rough around the edges, but sturdy and reliable. The bulbs that come with it leave a little to be desired, but it's easy enough to get compatible, brighter bulbs. I've used them for portraits, "photobooth"-style shoots and pin-up shoots. The case that it all folds into is likewise "basic but functional," and makes it super easy to get this set where you need it.My problem with this kit is the backdrop stand and the backdrops themselves. I swear, the backdrops eat any bit of dirt or dust within a 5-foot radius of your set-up, so I heavily recommend doing some basic clean-up of the shooting area before setting them down. I get that the length is to provide a smooth backdrop and the ability to take wider shots, but it requires significant ironing to smooth out each one after delivery, and they're quite unwieldy if being set up by a single person. The stand itself is likewise unwieldy. Even at it's most compact, it's a bit of a pain to set up.I'd be willing to recommend it to someone beginning and not wanting to spring for higher-quality gear while learning, or for studios looking for inexpensive, basic field kits. But, if you've been at it for a while and can save up a bit more, go for something else.

Overall I'm very pleased with this studio set. I would recommend this setup if you are a beginner photographer looking for a low cost studio solution.Pros:The build quality of the light stands and backdrop frame is good for the price.Easy to setupLow costCFL bulbs included do not produce much heatFairly easy to transportCons:Really the only con I have with this setup is the backdrops are extremely thin and see through. You will need to hang another backdrop or sheet behind the backdrop if you're shooting with anything behind the backdrop.

Was happy to receive this item at first and was totally disappointed to see that I was missing 75% of the items that I was suppose to get. I received 6 umbrellas, two carrying cases and two other pieces that wasn't even part of the kit. This is totally unacceptable for a company to charge you and then send you a product that looks like, when it was packaged they knew it was missing everything but still sent it to me to meet the two day shipping timeline. Then I phoned customer service and was told that the replacement kit couldn't be sent until end of March because they didn't have it, but the item is still listed as in-stock on the Amazon website. I asked for a refund and the representative gladly assisted but now I am left wondering to reorder this item since this is what I really wanted or just shop at another store. Also the reviews are correct from other users, no instructions and no contact information at all.

I'm a photographer of nature and portraits, but had not shot indoors in a long time. I purchased this setup as my first studio set. I am very happy. Metal parts, bulbs intact on arrival. I was able to figure out set up without watching the youtube video. Set up didn't take long with an assistant, between 20-30 minutes. I made sure I had extensions cords and surge protector and I was ready to go!The only down sides seems to be, that if you extent the width of your backdrop, you may need to have a center support, pre-iron your fabric (the white looks great on film), and the bulbs are very cool. I'll buy some warm ones to help balance, not a big deal. Also purchased sandbags for outdoor stability, but they weren't necessary inside at all.

Will give this a 4 or 5 star once we receive everything we purchased. Everything seems in order except the green chromakey muslin backdrop.
