Great product for making labels at home or work
This product has worked exactly as described. Getting into the menu to find some of the special characters takes a little getting used to, but it's all there. Other than the learning curve to figure out characters, this is a perfect and portable way to make labels around the home or office. The ribbon tape works well, and while you may find it a little difficult to separate the backing, it isn't as bad as some products I've used. I love that the ribbon tape is easily available and comes in several colors and the cartridge that holds the tape is easily replaced, even in the middle of a roll, so you are not tied into just one cartridge until the roll is empty. You have the ability to change font sizes and you can make the text as long as you want, as long as you have enough ribbon in the cartridge for the line length. This has been amazing for labeling batteries, drawers, chargers and so many other items around my home office. This does not have different size of label tape that I could find, so if you want a large label size(ie lettering that is taller than about 3/8"-1/2") you may want to look for a different label maker. The size of this lettering tape has been perfect for everything I have needed, so unless you have a very specific need for very large labels, this should do the trick. The tape itself is close to a half inch wide. Not too big, not too small. All in all, I love this label maker and how convenient and versatile it is to use for all my needs around the house, garage and office.

High-quality label maker
I had to buy a new label maker because I wore out the other one. I always buy on Amazon because Walmart and target are more expensive. this is a very good label maker. I recommend this one to anyone that is looking for one.

Easy to use and I can put a lot of letters in the print queue!!
I bought this cause I also bought 4 journals that I am making into cookbooks to pass on to my kids/grandkids. I wanted a label maker to label the side bind and front of the book. My wife4's label maker has a limit of like 12 characters only. With this I was able to make much longer ones, like "Appetizers and Soups" "Main Entrees and Meats" "Salads and Vegetables"...etc...The print is easy to read and it comes with the first spool of label. I also bought a refill label that is 13 feet long (spooled), and it was only about $5. So the cost of this printer is well worth it. It also has a bunch of other options, i.e. Folders to save and upload, multiple font options and sizes. I think the only issue I have is when you hit the number key, the numbers are really tiny and light colored (using the first 10 keys of the alphabet)...but once I saw them, it isn't an issue now. It also has other language options.

Makes labels - yay!
I've used this primarily to label stuff in my shop: bins of screws, tools, etc. It works great for that. The print quality of the default "large" font is very nice, clear and readable. The other ones... eh, not so much. For example, it offers 2-line printing, but the letters ended up so squashed and unreadable that I went back to single-line printing. Other font sizes are similarly weird-looking (in my opinion). The paper labels that come with it are holding up okay so far, but I think I'll get plastic ones when this spool runs out. Entering and editing the text in this are a bit cumbersome, but doable. For example, you have to click several times to access special characters (like fractions). But it's not too difficult to figure out. Overall, it's working great and I recommend it!

Love this Label Maker
I have pretty heavily used this label maker since purchasing (July 2019). I am on my 5th or 6th cartridge, which I can find pretty much everywhere. I tend to stick to the black-on-white paper ones, but I have used Iron-on and black-on plastic. I have had zero trouble with the labels not sticking. I have used them to label everything from individual paintbrushes to folders to dresser drawers. I am still on the same batteries I put in a year ago; I make sure I turn it off immediately after I'm done using it. I have dropped it a couple of times, and it's still going strong. I just got done using it to label the tabs on binder dividers. I wonder if the people who are having trouble with their labels are using paper and either isn't peeling off the back or their homes are super humid. I mean, they are PAPER labels, and they will curl in heat. The plastic labels are harder to find, but I got them when some of my paper labels got wet and washed off the ink. *9/28/21 Update Labelmaker is still going strong, still using the original batteries. I just got done labeling plastic spice jars with no problems. I do wish I could use different size tape, but ah well, it hasn't been much of an issue in the two years I've been using the machine. I'm embarrassed to admit that it now looks a little grimy from continued use but still prints just as quickly as the first time. There isn't a time I have used it where it hasn't worked or had any problems. I have used different colored tapes and even switched out tapes with zero issues (ex: going from paper to black on silver back to paper). If I think of it, I'll try to update in a few more years.

It's basic & intuitive & that's exactly what I wanted.
I chose this model & brand purposely because It's basic & intuitive & that's exactly what I wanted. The mostly great reviews it has didn't hurt in my choosing either. I find with a tool of this type, that for me simple is better than complicated. I don't need too many options & variations of font & size, the ones which are offered on this item suit me just fine. As others have already mentioned this doesn't not have a 'Querty' keyboard, it is an alphabetical order keyboard. I can deal with that, I just have to hunt & peck a little it's no big deal, after all I'm not writing an essay on it I'm just making occasional labels. I also wish it had a power cord so I didn't have to use batteries. I hope it holds up because I really like it, only time will tell.

I love this device! I've had it for nearly two years and have labelled HUNDREDS of things around the house and office, and only recently have I gotten a warning saying the battery level is low -- from batteries that I put in there when I first got it! Every time I use it I think about all the negative comments saying that it "eats batteries." These people must be putting in those cheap batteries from the dollar store... Spend a few dollars more for some quality, brand-name batteries and your devices won't run out of power so quickly! You get what you pay for people! I've also seen people complain about the qualities of labels, and yet, I haven't had any problems. I relabelled all the spices in our kitchen cabinets, and after nearly two years some of them have faded a bit -- but they are used every day! But what do you expect from these labels?!

Coupled with the tape very useful for labelling.

A neat labelling machine. Good range of print size and allows for two line printing. You can save quite a few labels in the memory saving time if you need to print out again either the same or with slight changes. I definitely needed to read the instructions to understand everything the machine can do and experiment a bit to understand the capabilities. Good value and I am very pleased with the results.
