Easy to install, great for security

UPDATE : To whom it may concern....I bought this unit in 2015 as a security feature for an outdoor medical cannabis garden. I was thinking twice when I saw the low price of this unit but 2 years, and 3 crops later this is STILL my "go to" for security in the garden. It'll wake me out of a dead sleep inside my house 100ft away and is very sensitive. I am woken by the raccoons foraging in the berry patch regularly but better safe than sorry right ? You can use them outdoors as long as you build little "birdhouses" for them, but the point is they can save you BIG bucks, and are obviously worth the price if I can get through 3 crops with it ! GREAT little unit !!! Going to buy more myself ! UPDATE 2018 ; This little bugger just keeps working ! Best 20 bucks I ever spent. It's been through just about everything but just keeps going, and going, and going......LOVE IT !

It’s great purchase for what I need it for, it has very loud alarms which is exactly what I need.

The product worked as expected. It was loud enough, easy enough to use once I read the instructions, seems like it will ward off intruders or be a good "New Customer!" alert. The problem that caused me to take away one star is that my hands were allergic to some residue covering it and they were slightly burning, so I washed it with a soapy paper towel and rinsed and dried it the same way and whatever it was that was irritating my hands seemed to be gone. The other problem I had was that I smelled a strong odor of burnt electronics, or a leaking capacitor as soon as I opened the package, so I think this thing will be unreliable in the long run. I opened the casing and did find a capacitor covered in some hardened, brown stuff, which could have been glue, but I've never heard of gluing in a capacitor, so it may have been that it leaks all over the board. If this thing fails I will replace that one capacitor and all will be well, but only time will tell.

Very loud, works great and easy to set up.

This is one LOUD SiREN alarm! My only complaint is that is has very limited coverage. It pretty much just detects motion that is directly in front of the device. ANything to the right or left, is not detected. So I had to position it by a narrow entryway where the intruder might surely step in , cross over to where I don't want him/her to cross. If you place it in an area with big coverage, the intruder would most probably get away without being detected. But as long as it is within its range, it is SENSITIVE and LOUD!

I was impressed with how loud this little alarm really is. It is ear piercing. But I do take issue with the 4 digit code not stopping the alarm once it's triggered. I installed one of these in my shop and it worked as stated. There was a chirp once the alarm was triggered and 30 seconds later it went off. However, I could not shut it off with the code. I had to wait until it stopped. A couple of time it went off again before I could enter the code and I again had to wait. Eventually I did enter the code and made it stop. Because of that I will probably shop for a different alarm.

Have 3 of these for a couple years now, very simple to use and work well. Very loud and batteries last me about a year. They detect at about 15 feet, so they’re good for typical room entrances.

Someone often jump over my fence in the middle of night. Doing what? In order to get close enough to my neighbour’s mobile phone for implant the malicious code in smart phone. For what? Stealing password of online banking. It is become so populous now doing this for thief(so called hacker) . I tried all of ways by installing two ip cameras focus at place this guy standing. No use, why? Because ip camera is so easy to hack and controlled by thief. For example, thief can use radio to disable the motion detection of ip camera. Finally, I get this alarm from Amazon. It is controlled by code. It means thief no way to disarm this device unless he know the code. Simply enough. Now what? No more jump over fence at mid night. It is solved by 30 bucks device . Now thief parking the car in the front of my neighbour house. I know they change the way to doing same thing. It is not my business now. It is purely public security. I have informed neighbours about this. However, nobody can stop this.

Solid, easy to use, nothing too complicated , well designed, yet enough functionality. Very good buy, I think.
