In the book Muhammad Ali, the author John Stravinsky tells a story about a young boy that grows up to be one of the greatest boxers ever. Throughout the story Ali had to overcome many challenges good and bad that came his way. Muhammad Ali was a man that was never afraid to speak his mind and fought for what he believed in. Ali fought for four decades in and out of the ring. The author uses race, crime, and illiteracy to describe Ali's life. Throughout the book the author explains many of the good things that Ali does in his life. Ali starts his career off by being a good fighter and he is later said to be the greatest fighter ever. During Ali's long career he won many fights and went on to accomplish many of his dreams. The best thing about this book is that Ali never seemed to give up on whatever he tried to do. This book can send a good message to kids never to give up. There are a number of bad things that Muhammad Ali had to go through in his life. During the course of his life he had to deal with issues such as race, crime, and illiteracy. Growing up in the south where there was mostly whites Ali had to deal with racism as a young boy. Racism in the south often led to crime. On top of racism and crime Ali had to deal with his problem of not being able to read.
