No....this is a really flimsy set .... I'd buy something else.

what tools are needed for assembly

This is a crappy swing and slight set. My barely two year old couldn’t use it. Do not recommend.

Can you push your child on the swing?

Yes, but not a lot, when the kids start to growing up, they are able to swing by themselves. The other point, the playground is not too high, then when the kid grow the feet will touch the floor easily, in our case my husband had to rolled up the to swing the baby
