Great for dual monitors
This little thing has proven to be way more useful than expected. I use it primarily for dual external monitors off my laptop as well as USB mouse and keyboard. Its a lot for the money.

Didn't achieve what I want
My goal is to drive 2 4K monitor at 60Hz with a single USB-C connection. In theory this dock can do that.In practical, yes it can do that with some of my devices. For example, my laptop uses AMD 8840u SoC, and it drives that with no problem. However, my main goal is to use my work laptop, which is a Thinkpad X1 v9. However, that does not work - my laptop can't do that with this dock.Sure, most docks seem to have problem with that. I know the laptop is capable with that, because I have one dock which can do that - just not in a very stable way. But I have another dock which can do 2x4K@50Hz, which is tolerable; but for some reason, with the same monitors, this doc does not have the option of using 50Hz - only 60Hz or 30Hz. As a result, I can't use this dock to even achieve [email protected] wise, my laptop has DP 1.4, so it should have sufficient bandwidth to do 2x4K@60Hz, so it's not clear why this does not work. If I configure the doc to do 2x4K@60Hz, I just get a configuration error, and can't get the monitors to both light up. If I do them individually, I can at most get 2x2K@60Hz, which is not sufficient. All in all, maybe not the dock's fault, but it is worse than a previous dock I have, so giving it only 4 stars.

A tank of a USB hub that does everything you need it to do.
I hooked up an external hard drive, my webcam, and use it to charge my phone. Initially, I was concerned about whether or not it would provide enough juice to give each item what they needed, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that everything was getting the same amount of wattage it was before. There are plenty of USB ports to keep me happy. My computer came with some in front and some in back, but it wasn't enough for all the different accessories I have. I looked at adding a PCIE card, but this hub did the trick for exactly what I needed it to do.I was also concerned about how much data would be able to flow through the hub, but again, I was surprised because the hub connected straight to one of my USB-C slots, which provided a high transfer rate. Well, high enough for me. It's really small, which I like. I can pack it in my backpack or laptop bag. The cord is short enough to be practical, but not so short that you can barely move the whole thing. It looks great, in that it's a neutral design that doesn't stand out in any negative ways. I have it velcroed to the side of my desk, and it's been rammed by the side of my computer a few times, so I know it can take a beating. Its strength is something I really like about this little hub. I don't have to be worried about tossing it in a bag and having it get bumped around or smashed. Overall, just what I needed, and for a great price.
