Worked really well
I was impressed with this as other products in their range (and other brands) had not really worked at all well. This did work much better and sorted the problem almost completely, but with a caveat - I think that much older drain pipes must develop a constant build up over time that the only way to completely clean them is by either removing and brush cleaning or even replacing.I think this product, used regularly a few times will come as close to that as possible.

Dos the job
The kitchen drain was blocked with little to no drainage and the plunger had no effect at all. Used the product and it cleared the blockage up to a level that the water does drain but needs a few mins to completely drain out thereafter, will buy this great product again to complete the job!

Didn't clear bath blockage.
Used as directed, and easy enough to follow instructions. Left overnight for best results, blockage only partially removed. Not as effective as I thought.

Worked for kitchen drain
I had paid £100 to have my kitchen drain unclogged before, I had been trying to be careful to get as little oil and other gunk down the drain since then but recently I started hearing this gurgling noise when I pour a lot of water into the sink and also when the washer is on, worried that stuffs are building up again so I bought this, happy to say after using it that noise had stopped so this product helped clear out blockage, will be repurchasing.

Amazing! Never failed me yet!
Recommended to me by a plumber, this has never failed me yet! Used it at a quite a few places I've moved into, particularly for the bathroom - always permanently clears the blockage. Also, much better than the alternatives I've tried for reasons of laziness or "speed".

just as useless....
Along with another HG product this one is just as useless. I used the HG "Drain and Plug Unblocker" first and even after much more than 24hrs it had done absolutely nothing. So, as recommended by HG, I then used this "Duo Unblocker" which it is claimed to have the ability to move through the water before dissolving the blockage and this Duo Unblocker is just as useless as the Drain and Plug Unblocker. Now for the worst part of purchasing HG products... HG clearly state that one can get a "full refund" on the purchase of it's products, if they don't work. After reading the conditions attached and the evidence they require, including a plumber's estimate etc. I found that not only will it be time consuming to claim so little back but also stressful to get the evidence they require. For what it would cost to get a plumber, before claiming one's m,oney back, it is highly likely that it would be much, much cheaper to replace a section of the pipe ( the section that is blocked but HG will not make a refund unless one has paid an expensive plumber. That basically means that any DIYer that uses this product has two choices, replace a section of the pipe and make no claim against this useless product or call a plumber and pay an extortionate amount just to make a claim from HG. In other words, one won't get his / her money back after purchase and HG have made it so hard to claim that they know it.After almost three days of having a blocked pipe I do have a plumber coming in five days time but given the conditions for a claim I simply have to write my loss off and remember, from experience, to never use any HG products again. What the HG products, including this one has actually done inside my pipe is to soften then harden the debris so it's become a solid blockage of hard rock like material that is a bit similar to the limescale that one gets inside a kettle so it is difficult to remove but it can be done although not with the LG products that made a simple clearance job into a demolition job.I cannot recommend this product as it simply doesn't do the job one would expect it to do. It will possibly work fine for simple blockages where the waste water still moves down to the sewers but for anything else this is both poor value and a waste of time.

Fantastic, works wonderfully where others fail completely.
Blocked kitchen sink Friday a.m overflowed onto floor a lot from washing machine trying to drain. Put 1 application if caustic soda down it - didn't work. Went out bought another bottle of caustic soda. Ended up putting the whole thing down there. Some of that settled in the bottom of the u bend & solidified. So no still completely blocked.Order the HG duo unblocker Saturday it arrived Monday. Put the first application down the sink on Monday night went to bed & left it overnight. Ran the cold tap this morning as per the instructions. There was a lot of gurgling & I thought it might not have worked but couldn't tell as I was short of time expecting an hour call to come in. Put the 2nd application down there. Took the call. After the hour then went into the kitchen turned on the cold tap. Thought I would give it a try doing some washing up. Tipped out the bowl of washing up water & yes it disappeared like a whirlpool. Faster than I had ever seen it go down before. It was wonderful & such a relief. Was thinking I would have to go to a plumbers merchants and buy a new set of pipework for under the sink. That was the next plan of attack. But no didn't have to. The key was making sure there was no water in the pipes before I put it down there, then leaving it overnight. Then leaving the final application for an hour.Give it the best chance to work.Very good. This is what I will buy again if I get another blockage.
