Q: How dark in color in are the beige colored place mats?

I got the blue and must say that these were the worst placemats I have ever seen - cheap, wrinkled in pkg, thin, and just horrible - not even worth sending back - I threw them away.

Q: Any matching napkins?

These placemats are very nice, hold their shape and easy to clean. there are no matching napkins.

Q: can it be used on tile

Very durable use them daily but not on tile.

Q: I have spots on my table from where my kids have put hot dinner plates on thin placemats. How are these? Heat resistant?

I have not had any issues with heat, but would not trust them to really protect your table. Plates - yes, pots - no!
