Palm Beach Medicinal Herbs - Red Giant Castor Bean - Packet of 10 Seeds

Fantastic germination rate! I expected some inevitable failures, but I think they all took off bc i remember not having anywhere to plant them all. I gave some away. They did really good this year despite 2024 being a brutally dry summer in my area, and after I planted them out, I neglected them. They kept going until frost. I wish I thought to take more pics later in the season.

These grew so well in Illinois that we had to get them again! Gorgeous prehistoric monsters! They even held up through a derecho like those tornadoes were a heavy breeze. The first picture is their height in Nov 2024 and the second is with my husband in October 24.

Im a youtube gardener (Pittsburgh home garden) and I'm always sketchy about getting seeds from amazon, I've been burned before, but these are solid seeds, ready to germinate and seemed to have been stored well. My only grievance is the price, per seed, so I'm definitely saving all the seeds in the fall.

It’s 2 days past the return window and I can’t get a refund! The seeds have not germinated and it’s been a little over 4 weeks since I planted. (I’ve been careful to water daily and they’re in a spot where I’ve grown them in the past. Several seeds came broken and some were turning to dust because they were broken so badly. I decided to plant what was left of the whole ones and not ask for a refund. Now those ones haven’t germinated. I won’t order from this company again. Disappointed.

These grew to be eight feet tall and so enjoyed the beautiful color. Used them as a focal point in my large flower bed.

They grew and they’re pretty but not giant, green leaves. If I’d known, I would have planted my own seeds and saved the $10

These were advertised as GIANT RED Castor Bean seeds. They are expensive relative to what you can find at nurseries and garden centers but I was willing to pay more since they appeared to be a special variety based on the name.They did turn out to be giant, so I wasn't entirely disappointed, but as you can see from the photo they do not have the red leaves as promised.
