How long will a full charge last with this cord ?

As long as the cord is plugged into a charger the camera will work. Its internal batteries are bypassed.

So will this charge my batteries while there in my camera? Or do i need to purchase one of those battery chargers for that

I have only used it to allow long video runs with the camera without worrying about battery capacity. It works fine for that with my L820. I don't think it can have been designed to recharge the batteries in the camera, though, because there's no guarantee that you've put rechargeable batteries in the camera. Trying to charge an alkaline battery could cause the battery to leak.

Will this work for my nikon coolpix aw120 as a charging cable?

No when you use the wall plug or the USB cable it disconnects the battery power as a safeguard so as not to burn up your camera but it works really well with an external battery pack like the kind you would charge your cellphone with I would recommend the USB cable in combination with a 2500maHr external power bank works well with mine when I'm out an the batteries go dead just plug it in an im back in business for more pics or extended video recording
