Ive used Beaver Craft for a few years since I started carving and finally tried Flex Cut. Really nice tools. Sharp right out of the pack. I feel like the handles on the knives are a bit fat but they can be easily reshaped to my your liking. The blades are thinner than BC blades. Feel like the thickness lends to a bit easier cut.

The knives come razor sharp out of the box. (Be careful unpacking them!) They appear to be very high quality with polished blades, and they whittle and hold an edge like a dream. I wish I'd gotten them sooner. If you're a beginner and considering these, buy them!

the flexcut tools sharpen nicely and are easy to use. i have arthritis and the knives are more comfortable that the pocket knives i have been using. the gouges work great but they are a little hard on my hands. i think the quick connect power handle would be better for the gouges. ill have to try that with the snap in gouges.

The handles are very ergonomic, even for very small petite hands like mine. I’m so happy I decided to spend a little extra for the quality that these provide. The blade is very strong and extremely sharp. It was so sharp that I’ve cut my hands by accident several times now. My only advice is to buy a leather strop and some compound if you don’t have any already to keep these superb tools in top condition. Take care of your tools and they’ll take care of you.

really nice carving tools.don't bother with the big bargain sets. they are really bad compared to this basic set of excellent carving tools. these are worth the expense. if you are new to carving, you may as well start with a small set of far superior quality.if you find you don't like carving, these tools have a great resale value. the crappy ones are just crappy.if you are not sure what kind to get as a gift, Id say these will be a wise choice. you can add to this set one at a time as you need to.love flexcut tools.

I got these to try them out and have not been disappointed. Very sharpe out of the box and can start utilizing immediately without sharpening like you need to with other knives. Would definitely recommend, especially for beginners. Just make sure you’re paying attention to hand placement if you are a newbie. It’ll slice through your hand before you know it, I’m sure. Otherwise, loving the overall size and durability so far.
