I do not know what the ingredients are BUTItis bleach free and it works!

Does it work on old wine stains?

I don’t know for sure but I did use it on an old wine stain that was very small and it took it out.

Can this be used on leather furniture?

I'm not sure. It works as a chemical reaction on fabric so I imagine it would discolor the leather.

Will it remove red wine from a sheepnskin shag rug?

I have not tried removing red wine from sheepskin rugs with Wine Away. I suspect it will work. Why don't you try a little on an edge? I always wash the item that was stained after I've put Wine Away on it and let it dry. So see if you can do something like that--at least wet it. I don't think it will hurt the rug, but if you have spilled say, a cup of wine on the rug and not tried cleaning with water first when the stain was fresh, I don't know how much to expect from Wine Away or anything else.
