PlayTime Piano Classics - Level 1 Paperback – January 1, 1990

My senior citizen student was thrilled when I presented her with this book as a Christmas present. She still plays at a beginner level but does not want to play typical kids' music. This book adds a touch of class to her studies. It would be an equally excellent way to introduce a young student to the joy of classical music. The arrangements are simple yet lovely.

Great book for late beginner players. My students in Alfred 1A and 1B are playing from this book.

I have wanted to learn how to play the piano since I was a kid and I’m finally getting the chance to as a college student. it’s an accelerated course, so we have made it through what I think is the equivalent level of PreTime and are now in the PlayTime level, working on songs with fingers mostly staying in the same place. we use an online piano teaching software in class but I wanted some physical sheet music to practice by myself. I got the Classics books in both the PlayTime and ShowTime (Level 1 and Level 2A). I’m not quite ready for Level 2A, but I can tell both books are going to be great resources for me! so far the Level 1 book is straightforward and it doesn’t feel intimidating to play. looking forward to trying to learn more of the songs out of this book and the next!

Bought these books for my daughter. She really likes them and she learn pretty fast under the teacher's guidance. The books fit kid's level very well and also provide much more for exercise. Highly recommended.

Love the series. This book has some great songs. Some of the arrangement is strange, but main melody is there.

Hand position diagram is at the beginning of each song….helpful for beginners

It's a good piano book. Highly recommended by the piano teacher.
