Just right for cooking Rancho Gordo beans or rice for 2-4 people. The heavy lid seals well, letting hardly any steam out. The dimples on the lid are to cause condensation to drip back down into the pot, again making for a very snug and efficient boil. Of course, once you get this boiling and then simmering it takes hardly any flame to keep it simmering. I also like the upright nature of this pot, taller and narrower, meaning it sits over the flame just right. I bought the red, which is very pretty. You could pay a lot more, but why?

I wanted a smaller enameled cast iron pot that would fit on my small stove with other pots, but be tall enough to hold a decent amount food.Zero cosmetic issues on arrival (great packaging & QC), held heat and cooked perfectly. Moisture retention is excellent. Very happy with the purchase.

It's very well made and a pretty color. I got it for my small sourdough bakes, but it's too narrow for that, so I almost returned it, but then I realized it works on an induction burner so I kept it and love it so much that I want a second one! And the price is great compared to others.

I own several Le Crueset pots but needed a smaller one for small loaf of bread. Wasn't looking to spend a ton of money so went with this. Not disappointed at all. Bread came out great and it's very pretty, strong and appears durable. Glad I got it. However, if the knob gets damaged be ready to buy a new pot as this knob cannot be REPLACED. Odd that they make pots with knobs either screwed in permanently or fused into the ceramic.

I already had a larger Dutch oven but as our children grew and moved away the bread would go bad before we could eat it all this smaller Dutch oven is perfect for the two of us and is easy to keep clean and you can use any recipe three to three and a half cups of flour for a perfect loaf of bread.

It was not the cast iron I originally ordered from Walmart. Sent it to Lexington. Called them back and was like you delivered ti the wrong address. Sent an other one. Delivered to correct address but missing. So I needed a small Dutch oven. Looked here on Amazon delivery the next day on all my items. Looked at a few of them not the size I need then I come across this Dutch oven. Looked at all the colors and ordered the blue one. Opened it up when I got it beautiful love it. Perfect size for my bread. I compared it to the 2 or 3 qt one I have.
