Beware
This product will leave you stranded at the gas station. The locking and unlock mechanism will become bad and you will be able to lock it but can not unlock it to turn your cap out. The key will turn to the unlock position but when you turn it, it will click on you.. I bought this for a week and the 2nd time I when to pump gas it let me stranded at the gas station. My fuel was at E too. With many tried the mechanism finally work again and I finally was able to get it to turn without clicking. I thought it was just my luck that day and so I try to give it another shot but still the last pump went I still got stranded looking like a theft. So when I finally got it off I returned to my old original fuel cap from the dealer. No lock but no stranded. Beware. You could be left worse than me. Don't know if it was a bad built or bad product.

DO NOT BUY!Awful, left stranded at the pump. Will not unlock, period. Lucky I'm a service tech with a truck full of tools, or I would have been left high and Dry. Didn't need it, just ripped it off, very easy.

Okay for the money but beware
I own three cars and three trucks and so but locking gas caps cuz of my Jack wad neighbor. And they work great but the key takes a little breaking in to work smoothly recommend using key on a wire brush first. Also, one gas cap key actually fits my Silverado truck and the gas cap in my Camaro. But that's Norm

didn’t unlock to open back up
So I happened to not read the instructions, it occurs that it has to be unlocked first to place then hear it click before you lock. I never tried the keys ios the first step to make it a 5 ⭐️
