Great way to look at the sun and a solar eclipse!
I decided to purchase this item right before the recent solar Eclipse. I have always enjoyed any unique events that take place with the sky and the items in it and this seemed like it would be a good way to experience the eclipse.I am so glad that I purchased it! While it was nice to look through the window made for your eyes to look through, the section for the camera was astounding.I decided to not attach the thin velcro to the viewer as I didn't want to stick the other half on my phone case and then have to get sticky residue off afterwards. I did not find it at all hard to hold my phone flat against the card so that the camera lenses were in the window as I held the handle section. I was then able to use my free hand to play with zooming the image and clicking the photo and video button. The only issue I had was that my arms started to get tired after a bit, but if I had a camera/phone mount to hold the phone in place that would have helped. As you can see by a few of the pictures I posted, the phone camera was able to take lovely shots through the window. You could see sun spots and the quality did not diminish once the eclipse was past and the entirety if the sun was photographed. That adds to the use of this item as any type of sun photography is possible, beyond just an eclipse.Overall, I feel this was well worth the money and I would not hesitate to buy it again, and I have already shared links to this product to family members and friends.

Doesn’t work
This film doesn’t allow you to take accurate photo’s of eclipse. Tried different settings on iPhone along with different angles. Every shot looks the same. Even put it on a different model iPhone, same results. My mother purchased one also and got same results with Samsung phone. Waste of 15.00 dollars, already had glasses just wanted pictures. I should have bought a lens for my camera instead.

Returned, didn’t need
Bought these for the Apr 8 2024 total eclipse. Bought the multi pack to share with family.Glad I didn’t open them in advance because where we were in upstate NY was a solar eclipse bust. We were socked in with solid cloud cover and rain until an hour after the event. These DID seem well made, not flimsy. I would buy again if another eclipse opportunity comes up (2026 is in Egypt).

Did not work very well.
The design seems like a great idea. In practice it did not work very well. The 3M double sided adhesive rectangle that comes with this is not the best choice for attaching the phone. 3M Velcro strips are a better choice so that during totality you can remove the phone easily from the board for unfiltered photos, and then reattach the phone for more partial eclipse photos.Because of a slight gap between the filter and the lens of my phone's camera, I had a hard time getting the focus correct and was getting a bit of lens flare. After fumbling around with this multiple times during The partial eclipse, I gave up and just held a filter from a pair of disposable solar eclipse glasses over the lens of my phones camera.

Worked great for me! Too bad I have to wait twenty years to use it again.
In preparation for the 2024 solar eclipse, I did some tests holding my iPhone 13 Pro up to the lens of a pair of solar glasses and thought it could be better. After doing a bit of research on how best to photograph the eclipse with my iPhone, I read about an iPhone app called Solar Snap that allows users to bypass the iPhone's built-in camera app which tends to become confused when taking photos of the sun.At the last minute, I ordered a four pack of these SafeShot Solar Eclipse Viewers. I'm really glad I did. Attaching the Velcro was not an issue and it held my iPhone in place securely. I shared the extra SafeShots with my family and friends so they could all capture the moment. The SafeShot combined with Solar Snap got me some really nice photos of the eclipse that I'll cherish forever as a reminder of one of nature's totally awesome events.

It was just Ok
It got here fast, it was easy to put on the phone, and didn’t even leave any sticky residue on the phone! However the picture came out pretty meh, I noticed as soon as I turned on the phone, but, still fun to use though.

Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!
This worked exactly as described! Waited about 15 minutes before the eclipse to set up. Take off your case before adhering, it literally stayed put and I was able to remove to record during totality and then stick it back on it again.
