How long does it take to charge the battery ?

It probably varies between units, but ours recharges fairly quickly--about 1-2 hours and it's ready to go again.

For shorter pet hair but long human hair, what is it about the anti tangle bristles that makes a difference? Can I do with just the reg blue one?

I have 2 cats, and I find that hair does still get tangled around the anti-tangle bristles, but the bristles are rubber and the roller is easy to take out to remove the hair. I love this vacuum better than any other I’ve owned..even the Dyson. I’ve had it about 2 years now. It is still working great!!
