Perfect replacement
This agitator plate is a perfect replacement for the original. The fit/size and material seem to be the same. I have done several loads of laundry since it’s been installed, and I cannot tell the difference between the new and original part. So it is well worth getting this one over the overpriced LG one.

More economical than buying a new washer.
I found the agitator plate here on Amazon, which the price was less expensive than at any other retailer. It definitely was a lot less expensive than buying a brand new washing machine to replace this part. You need to purchase the right agitator plate for your washing machine. Have the model and make of your washer and compare it with the model numbers of the different agitators that you can purchase.The installation Took maybe five minutes by the time you had your tools to install it.

Perfect fit!
This was a very necessary replacement on our washer! Initially thought filter could be cleaned but it really can't be done well. Replacing is the best option. In our case the center of the old filter disc was fused to the main shaft so it took lots of time and effort, including an angle grinder, to remove it. Once it's out it's also a good idea to remove the tub and clean the whole area. You'll be suprised how much crud accumulates under there. Good luck.
