Is this garlic press able to be washed in the dishwasher?

Absolutely. This is a heavyweight stainless steel press. Put through dishwasher on 65 dgrees many times

It’s made in Germany. I have mine about 15 years and it’s like new. A great product and I’ve bought a few as gifts for friends.

Can you use this without peeling the garlic??

You can but you will have skin and roots to deal with later! You could cut off the root tips, but again you will have to get rid of the skin before using. The best thing about this garlic press is the very fine dice, but only if the clove is peeled. If I want to use crushed clove in a roasting tin, I don't use the press, but place the clove on a chopping board and bash it with the blade of a large knife. Personally I am partial to whole cloves in a roast then you can squeeze out the garlic whilst eating the roast-delicious.
