Just an awesome classic
Cella's Italian Shaving Cream is a testament to timeless grooming traditions, blending old-world craftsmanship with modern shaving needs. This isn't just another shaving cream; it's an experience, a journey back in time to an era where shaving was an art, a ritual passed down through generations. One of the standout features of Cella's shaving cream is its rich, creamy texture. It lathers up luxuriously, providing a thick and protective cushion between the razor and the skin. This ensures a close, smooth shave with minimal irritation, making it suitable for all skin types, including those with sensitive skin. But what truly sets Cella's shaving cream apart is its signature almond scent. The moment you open the tub, you're greeted with a lovely, warm almond aroma that's both comforting and invigorating. It's not overpowering but subtle and refined, reminiscent of classic Italian barbershops. This scent elevates the entire shaving experience, turning a mundane daily task into a sensory delight. Each shave becomes a moment of relaxation, a brief escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life.Beyond its sensory appeal, Cella's Italian Shaving Cream is also highly effective. It provides excellent glide, allowing the razor to move effortlessly across the skin, reducing the risk of nicks and cuts. The cream is also hydrating, leaving the skin feeling soft, moisturized, and refreshed post-shave.The packaging of Cella's shaving cream exudes classic charm. The iconic red tub is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, ensuring that the cream remains fresh and protected. It's a design that has stood the test of time, much like the product itself.

Use a good quality shaving brush
This soap is the best you will buy for the money . Lather the soap in the bowl and work into your beard until creamy texture is reached . Good clean shave and great smell .

A nice thick creamy soap.
Although this is called a cream it's better to use it as a soap and build the pre-lather on your brush. What I like about this soap is the natural feel to it. The scent seems natural as opposed to artificial with a subdued bitter almond scent, underneath that you get the whiff of tallow, the animal fat that makes this soap what it is; thick, creamy, slick and cushiony. A message to all you shavers using non-tallow soaps: the slight whiff of tallow isn't offputting at all - in fact you'll probably get to love it.This soap give a great shave and is a joy to lather. Would recommend!

Beautiful scent & lather, perfect for everyone!
As a woman quite a few years into my safety razor journey I thought it was time to ditch the arko sticks and get a shaving soap bowl. Really happy with this, great smooth shave, economical (it will last me ages!) and a lovely scent - if anything I wish it was stronger and longer lasting but can definitely recommend. Great seller too!

Cheap is the selling point
This shaving soap is OK. There are much better soaps out there, better but more expensive. If you are after a low priced soap that you can shave with then this one will do the job. The lather is not impressive, the glide is mediocre and you cannot expect any better at this price. The expensive soaps,,,Le piere Lucien lathers thick cream and moisturises as you go for example but you pay £30 for this particular soap as against Cella. I will not be using this soap but my advice is give this shaving soap a try and good luck.

One of the very best shave soaps you can buy
Cella shave soap in my opinion is in the top 3. ARKO, Mitchell’s Wool fat and Cella (both this almond and the green bio version) are in my shaving rotation. Having tried many others, these 3 brands are equally the best I have ever used. There is absolutely no need to buy expensive shave soap, when these three reasonably-priced options perform the best. Cella almond scent is divine and the quality of lather sublime.

Mediocre At Best
Coming up to seventy I have been shaving for well over fifty years. In that time I have shaved using everything from a Bic disposable to being shaved at Truefitt &Hill. I would not say I am an expert in shaving, but I know a good shave from a bad one and good products from bad.About fifteen years ago I decided to change what to many is a daily chore into a pampering ritual and returned to real shaving, razor, brush and shaving soap/cream.Over the intervening years I have tried a plethora of different products. Through a process of trial and error my go to shaving cream has been Taylor of Old Bond Street and Gentlemen's Face Care Club. However this has been on my radar for a while so I decided to take the plunge and but a pot.So I have now used it about half a dozen times, and as the title states, but is mediocre at best. I have tried it with different brushes and new blades and the results are the same. The lather lacks creaminess and volume and is of a rather lack lustre consistency. I need to reapply to do my standard three passes, whereas I do not have to with the previously mentioned products. It also what I consider to be rather a strange smell, not the Almond aroma other reviewers have mentioned. I am beginning to wonder did I get a duff product.Anyway it has now been assigned to my "standby" cupboard, which are products I keep as an emergency in case I ever run out. But it will most definitely be part of my future shaving routine.
