It helps but if the transmission is slipping it will need repaired. To answer your question it works for all auto transmissions.

I didn’t find this product to be effective at all. In my view a waste of money.

I used it on my manual gearbox leak, I had tried other so called leak stoppers ( Lucas - Wynns) that didn't do it. Thought I'd try Bluedevil and it cured the leak within a couple of days, fantastic stuff. Only negative is the price you pay for a bottle then only have to use a couple of fl. oz's of it. But hey, it's a hell of a lot cheaper than having to replace gearbox seals, go for it. PS - if you live near Doncaster you can have some of what I've got left.

It worked but didn’t last

The sealer stop the leak for a short while but like it says on the bottle it cannot fix a Mechanical fault. It turned out the bolts on the gearbox had gone loose because the rubber gasket had shrunk with age. Had the gasket replace along with a new filter and all ok now. The jeep is 23 years old though.

Leak gone!

my sons' car had a major gearbox leak..a few days after using this it seems to have stopped leaking completely.

KEEP AWAY!!!

So I had a leak in my torque converter. I had been recommended this so I put half the bottle in my gearbox and little over a week later the gearbox failed resulting in me having to buy a refurbished box at £1000. Do not put any additives into your gearbox.

Made my leak much worse!

I had a slow leak on my Volvo V60 Automatic gearbox, about 1 litre every 4 or 5 weeks. I added Blue Devil and it made it much worse, effectively dumping all oil in a day or so. Beware! My car is currently in a Car Garage getting fixed...
