I’ve read all the details on this mattress pad and can’t find anything that specifically addresses whether it is waterproof. I would presume that it would say if it was waterproof. It’s just my husband and myself using it and we haven’t had cause to test that theory! Living in Arizona, we are more interested in testing its cooling power once our 110+ weather comes into play.

Q: Will the twin sized fit a twin xl bed in a college dorm?

Yes that’s what mine is twin XL and it fits great just its thin won’t do much for you

Q: How many inches of thickness? I see the package dimensions but wasn't sure what it was like unboxed.

It comes in an air free package. It rises as the compressed package is opened. I also like the tailored edges. This one will not disintegrate in the washing machine. I would buy it again!
