Great little router. No complaints yet.
I've only had this thing for a few weeks, but I really am loving it. I've never had a travel router before so it's hard to compare it to much, but it's intuitive and just works. The web interface is nice and it has a lot of features. I'm using Tailscale with it and it connects to my devices without major issues so far. Power draw is fairly low as well. I've tried it out at Starbucks, plugged it into a small Anker power bank and was able to power it for 2 hours with more than half of my charge left. The only POTENTIAL issue... it apparently takes 5V/4A power delivery and isn't strictly 'USB PD.' I was a bit worried because I'd like to use my USB-C power brick to travel with it rather than bring it's dedicated adapter, but most power bricks only support 5V/3A. However, I've been using it exclusively with 5V/3A-supported bricks and Anker power banks for a few weeks and I've had no issues. When I check the amperage with a USB-C meter, I have never seen it go above even 2A. So only a POTENTIAL issue at this point.Overall I'm very happy and if something changes, I'll update.

Fantasttic and versatile unit
I cannot speak highly of this product enough. I have used Netgear products, Cisco, and most recently abandoned my Google WiFi setup because it just wasn't working. The app was letting me down.To preface - I moved into a 5th wheel RV, whereby I have a live ethernet line coming into the RV but that's it. I had been trying to set up my Google Wifi both in the main house and as a secondary node within the RV creating a mesh network but the app was giving me so many problems and just wasn't working. Failure to even set up.Enter the Gl.inet. I had done my homework but still wasn't quite sure this would work with my application. I needed something robust that would accept an ethernet cable and be able to create a wifi hotspot within the RV from that same connection. This unit did the trick! Setup was very simple provided you have the basics of networking skills. I was up and running so fast I couldn't even believe it. Both the WAN and the ethernet ports worked to reproduce a reliable and very wide reaching self situated WiFi for my RV. This unit takes all of the guess work out of it.I honestly can't believe that for $100 this thing entirely solved all my problems. I am thoroughly impressed with the speed, capabilities, and ease of setup with this device. In case anyone's wondering, I am work from home 100% so this absolutely had to work for me.It's so good I almost want two for some unexplainable reason!

Remote Work Companion—Minor Hiccups
So here’s the scoop—I grabbed this little guy to keep me connected while working remotely from an extended stay hotel. The hotel WiFi was about as reliable as a coin toss (you know how it goes 😅), and I needed a secure, hard-wired connection for my work computer. The GL.iNet GL-AXT1800 really came through in that department. I was able to connect to my work system and keep things moving—no panic attacks over lost calls or files disappearing into the WiFi void. 🙌 However, let me be real. The first couple of times I tried connecting, it felt like I was in a buffering loop. There was some noticeable lag and brief connection interruptions. Not sure if it was the hotel WiFi causing mischief or just the router needing to stretch its legs a bit. 🤷♀️For the price, though, I did expect the speed to be a tad snappier. Once everything settled, it worked well enough for my needs, but it wasn’t quite that ‘wow’ experience I was hoping for.Overall, it’s a solid travel router that gave me peace of mind and a hard-wired connection when I needed it most. I’ll give it 4 stars because it did the job, but with room for a bit more zip!
