Works perfectly for getting the stems from tomatoes and strawberries! I’m also gifting to someone.

I bought this item to replace my Pampered Chef version. I primarily use it for scraping out the guts from Roma tomatoes, for easier dicing. It also works great hulling strawberries. it is just a simple tool, you don't need to spend lots of money for a product to hull strawberries & Roma tomatoes. I do like the red handle - it makes it easier to find in the drawer.

Helpful in processing a lot of fruits & veggies for canning. The plastic handle makes it comfortable and efficient.

Bought this for a friend who has some arthritis in her hands. It is supposed to be easier than using a standard knife to core strawberries. She said it requires less grip strength and less turning the tool than a regular knife so it makes the task easier. She had such good things to say about it I got one for myself too. Just be careful because the spikes are a little sharp, but of course they must be for it to work properly.
