Most comfortable hiking shoe ever
This hiking shoe is my new favorite! I usually like to put at least twenty miles on a new pair of shoes before I do any serious hiking or walking. These Merrell Moab 3 hiking shoes were delivered just two days before I left on a trip to Moab, Utah to do hiking in Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. I was only able to get about seven miles on these shoes before my trip. They fit perfectly and are true to size. No need to break in this shoe. The Vibram soles are amazing on my plantar fasciitis. I was able to hike to Delicate Arch and several other hikes. They had great traction on the slick sandstone. I put in about fifteen miles of hiking the first day in Arches NP. These shoes helped my feet feel their best. I have the Moab 2 Waterproof hiking shoes as well and I love them, but when I’m not in cold or wet climates, the waterproof shoes get too hot. These Moab 3 shoes are perfect for dry hiking. I put about thirty miles on them in three days of hikes, and my feet never got sore or even achy. I will definitely purchase these shoes again.

SO comfortable
Super super soft inside and comfortable. I sized up from my usual 8.5 to a 9 and there’s a perfect amount of room. No uncomfortable rubbing anywhere and great toe box size without being too roomy or too tight. Definitely grippy bottom and flexible. Stitching is great, I can’t find any defects.

Great looking, comfortable, nice quality, can't wait to try them out!
These arrived right away, also perfectly packaged in their shoebox along with the wool socks I ordered at the same time, both in the same plastic mailer. I wasn't sure I would like the color, described as taupe, with the yellow/gold lace loops, thinking I might wish I had ordered a darker or grayish tone color with cool colored accents. But these are beautiful with a light celedon tint to the fabric and a lovely cocoa color to the leather accents. And th gold is very pretty next to these colors. Size was my biggest concern as there were so many varying reviews. Although I generally wear an 8-1/2 I decided to order a size 9. I put them on right away andthought they felt just right. Stood up and pressed my thumb on top of my big toe that stops right wh fabric upper and the black rubber toe meet. Toes are not jammed against the tip of the to area, wiggle room for all my toes but not too big or loose feeling. But the solid arch support does feel like it sits back a bit under my arch, not exactly center. So I was thinking I should order another pair in 8.5 to compare. But I am extremely pronated and a really good arch support can feel a little odd at first. I even asked my husband to confirm (he used to manage a sporting goods store and fitted many customers for the right shoes, etc.) He agreed they are not too big. So I think the 8-1/2 might be too snug, etc. I also have a very narrow foot, although with age that may not be quite as true as it once was? My foot does not slip at the heel so I think a half size up was the right decision.

Super comfortable, Great arch support!
I ordered my usual size 7.5 and they're perfect! I got lucky and got the very last pair of brindle tea. I wanted a soft pink suede leather shoe with black outer soles & am lucky to have found them in this high end Merrell brand. The vibram sole is the best and will last forever. Usually vibram soled shoes cost around $200 and I am super stoked about the price I bought these for! They're super comfortable & have great arch support.

Heel cut too narrow inner side left shoe causes pinching
Just received the Moab 3, this time the rainbow. This is my third pair, my go to for a number of years. But this pair, the left heel area seems to have been cut a little too narrow. Walked around in the house and my heel isn’t wrapped/supported as it should feel with the shoe but rather it is pinching the left part of my heel. Maybe it’s my imagination but the inner part of the back of the shoe does look to be cut short to make the shoe more narrow. It is not rounded like the right shoe or the outer side of the left shoe itself. Once I took them off I could see why it felt as though it were pinching the inner heel. It is not rounded like the rest of the heel.

Beware! These are very hard inside
These are quite hard inside! They may work well on rough terrain but will make your feet hurt unless you have really tough ones. I thought these fit and would work until I started wearing to train before a trip and now regret thinking Ingot a good deal! Not if I must buy something else. If I had gotten through Merrell they could have exchanged they said. Live and learn!Top and space for toes is great, waterproof. Easy to get on and off. Good grip. Bad comfort!

Great hiking shoes at good price
I've been wearing Merrills for years and they still make great shoes. I have wide feet so I ordered the wide width which you can't always find. Very comfortable and happy with my purchase.
