My grandson loved his truck

I, like many, got this so the kids could enjoy a decent sized rugged vehicle, and for a long time with 3 swappable battery packs. It was good at first, even as a 7.2 volt (I grew up when 9.6v was the rage), with 3 battery packs, but after a couple cycles the batteries don’t work anymore… making it a dud. Came back to look for some replacement batteries, and if I can’t find decent ones, may try to wire some… maybe some Lithium batteries since these “Ni-Cd” are junk. I just submitted this review and came back when I scrolled up remembering to check the specs. Yep. It advertised Lithium Ion batteries. That is NOT what it says on these battery packs. False advertising.The vehicle is decent sized, and I wouldn’t want it bigger given the puny battery life…and it is rugged. It has taken a beating and looks it, but is well made and would still work fine- and we would be happy, again, IF THE BATTERIES WEREN’T GARBAGE. So… if you are handy with rebuilding battery packs, and want to roll the dice, it might not be bad.

This is a really neat device, I bought it for myself, because I need something to do while I'm thinking. I'm a novelist and this sort of thing help me clear my mind when I can't come up with a good enough paragraph, sentence, or even new book title.The main thing that I like about this is the fact that the makers of this 1:12 scale waterproof 4x4 R/C is that it actually is waterproof, they weren't kidding about that, I drove that sucker off in a deep mudhole (well deep for it anyway lol) and it floated, the wheels helped paddle it's way to the bank, and it didn't get anything internal wet, the battery box stayed dry (otherwise I'd have found out pretty quick and that would've been almost $100 down the tubes, but as the old adage goes, don't gamble more than you're afraid to lose.It also came with the three batteries that it said it would come with, one in the battery box on board the R/C and two in a plastic zip bag. For me, each of these batteries ran the R/C for about 20 minutes, roughly speaking.A really good buy!

the dat furnished with the car said that it had 3 batteries lithium 7.2 volts,but it didnt it had 3 batteries that were ni-clad pack ni-clad. i am still charging and do not know if the charger works

this is a very nice truck except in the video i watched showed the truck going up a curb. the first day my son tried to climb a curb and a plastic piece on the suspension broke now it just sets in the corner wasted money

The picture in the ad is very misleading. You show the rc next to a child making it appear larger than it actually is. When it arrived, I was shocked how small it was for the price I paid for it.
