Save My Face!" Pillow Just The Pillow La Petite Size in Soft Champagne

I debated on even purchasing this pillow just because it is so small. I'm now glad that I did. I put it on top of my pillow and it is actually very comfortable and it stays in place the majority of the time. I don't move much while sleeping, not sure if it would work well if you tossed and turned a lot. I sleep on my back the majority of the time but if I turn on my side it has definitely worked well as far as not smashing my face. When I first got it, it was a little too firm but after a little time that is no longer the case.

Over the last 10 years I have seen the evidence of what side sleeping can do to your face. I would be so comfy with my face smashed into my pillow —leaving lots of extra lines and wrinkles. Eventually this year I opted to have lower bleph surgery with a fat transfer and voila those wrinkles are gone! I tried to sleep on my back to save my new face but would often wake up on my side. Then I saw there was a very expensive pillow that promised to save my face! So I immediately went to Amazon to find a knock off (sorry I’m cheap) - this pillow is so perfect because it’s very thin so I can lay it on top of my regular pillow, and it allows me to sleep on my side keeping my face clear and basically suspended in air. My friend has the more expensive pillow, which is much thicker and unable to stack. So far it’s great and I continue to look 10 years younger! 😘

The pillow is very flat, definitely needs another pillow to prop it up. However because of the alignment I have noticed waking up with headaches more frequent, sometimes neck pain, and now I believe it's causing TMJ dysfunction. Just recently I been having these issues and I didn't make the link until this morning, the only thing new in my life is the pillow, and symptoms started the around the same time. At first I thought it was great because now I could avoid smashing my face when I lay down since I noticed a wrinkle being caused by the way I sleep. Unfortunately I won't be able to use the pillow any longer. The idea of it is good just may not work for some people. Maybe I should of went for the larger one but unsure if it would still have enough padding without the assistance of another pillow.

I have had this pillow for 12 months now and a few washings. The first washing I soaked it in a bucket and air dried it in the Southern California sun because I was scared the fabric would run and it would be a mass of threads. The next time I washed it I put it in a lingerie bag and ran the washing machine on warm on the regular cycle. No shredding and both times it returned to its cushy softness. However this last time, post the cat attacking it, there was some shredding with the seamline opening where the cloth label was inserted. I don't think all of it was cat related. I gathered up what stuffing I could find in the washer stuffed it back in and hand sewed with running stitches along the seam line to secure it.I am familiar with the cotton version of this product and that one comes with a cotton pillow case and I have used that version for about 12 years buying a new one every couple of years. I ruined my last one by leaving the pillow case on when it went in the wash and that was the end of that pillow so I saw this one that was way less expensive than the cotton ones I had purchased over the years that they still sell. Now if you are thinking you can order a pillow case to fit this from the cotton one the company sells, it will not fit and is a different shape with the arms longer and at a different curve so you will have to live with it as it is coverless unless they start to make a cover for this one. I still had my old cotton one so I saw directly that the cover would not work.Now I have never used this pillow or the other cotton one they sell directly as described, that is on top of another pillow. I have only used it alone on top of the mattress without a regular pillow. My neck somehow feels better that way but my neck is, well, not the ordinary and straighter than it should be doctors say. I feel that it helps to prevent wrinkles along the nasal line but notice slight wrinkle line forming about an inch into my face from my ear that is vertical but it is only visible when I don't moisturize religiously. But I am in my 60's now and this is after using this type of pillow from this company for over 10 years. If I had only slept on my back, this would have not occurred, I would imagine.I currently have acid reflux so I sleep with a slant pillow and put this satin pillow on top. Unfortunately, perhaps because I am on my slant pillow, it is always on the floor by morning either because it is slippery or because of my slant pillow or both. At one year out on my updated review here, it is still worth it though I have had to baby it along now after a year. Maybe next time I wash it I will have to not leave it in so long in the machine and if I lose more stuffing perhaps picking up some of that at the craft store to boost it up. When it starts to hopelessly fray, I will have to let it go. The cat found a permanent loving home.

Pillow works as described.

When I saw this pillow, I thought what a great idea. If you use fillers in your face, and you want to be careful that your face doesn’t squished or get it for another reason that you would want your face to be sort of suspended and not crushed by your regular bed pillow. When I got this pillow I was so excited but I knew right away it was way too flat. I tried it out by putting it on top of my bed pillow which is what you’re supposed to do and it was so flat that my face hit the pillow below it, so it defeated the whole purpose. So what I did was…I took a razor blade and sliced open the seam and added stuffing to the whole pillow and really bulked it up and sewed it back up! Now it’s perfect!!! I guess sometimes you really have to think out of the box!

Love this pillow! It helps to keep my cheek off the pillow which was worsening wrinkles. It also allows me to breathe easier lifting my face off the pillow just enough. I throw it in the washer and dryer.

I am so disappointed. I feel like a fool.This pillow is now quality and it is not real satin.I truthfully could have made this myself. I should have.I cannot believe the bigger version is almost 80 bucks. Thats the one I wanted to try but could not afford that price. They are making so much money off of selling us a very cheap product.It should be illegal to sell such low quality items at such a high price.
