Easy to cut and install. Works great.
This stuff is fantastic. I used this first to black out a room I call “my day room” that I sleep in during the day after working nights. I did seal the edges with tape though for a total blackout effect.. the material itself won’t achieve this. I also purchased and used additional Velcro to ensure extra adhesion to the areas this material was applied to. Silver side blocks the sun like wonder woman’s bracelets blocked bullets. But the material doesn’t have the great looks and colossally excellent bodily appointments of the original Wonder Woman. But it’s magnificent at what it does. I also used this material to block out the sun in one bedroom that just gets sun blasted like the rays from the Death Star. I mean the heat in that room will make you want to put baby powder in your tighties to foil the evil plot of butt sweat. This material has tamed that beast. Easy to apply and enough material to completely cover all the windows in my rooms.

Darkness so Deep, I forgot who I was
Let me introduce you to the Portable Blackout Shades (118" x 57"), or as I like to call it, The Cloak of Eternal Slumber. These bad boys don’t just block light, they banish it to the shadow realm. I put these up in my bedroom and my plants filed a missing sunlight report. My dog walked in, got confused, and went back to bed. At 3 p.m. Installation was stupidly easy. It came with Velcro and suction cups, and within minutes, my window looked like it was about to host a top secret government experiment. The material is thick, durable, and about as light friendly as a vampire on a juice cleanse. I slapped this across a sun drenched window, and BOOM total eclipse of the house. I bought these for naps but accidentally created a dimension where time has no meaning. I’ve emerged from naps thinking it was morning only to find it's 9 p.m. and dinner is cold. I wore sunglasses indoors for a full day because my eyes forgot how light works. Great for nurseries, bedrooms, dorms, or anywhere you want to cancel the sun like it's an ex who still texts “u up?”. It's also portable, so you can take the darkness with you, hotel room, tent, office nap corner, witness protection program, you name it. Bonus: it’s 118 inches wide. That’s like covering your window with the shadow of a stealth bomber. Absolute overkill, and I love it. In conclusion, if you’re a light sleeper, a night shifter, or a full grown adult who simply loves living in a Dracula core aesthetic, these blackout shades are your ticket to pure, glorious darkness. Just don’t forget where you put your phone. Or your sense of time. Or your will to leave the bed.

Worked but bad smell
Works as it should for our need to cover a window on vacation. But had to air it out outside in the sun for a whole day the smell is SOo bad! Like chemical fish smell it was nasty but airing out helped take the smell away.

Great Light Blocking in the Hot Summer
These are not a fabric material, so as long as you know that these are not meant to be curtains they are great. With the heatwaves my state has been experiencing and our old house having old windows we needed something to help keep the heat at bay. I used a small square of velcro to secure on all four corners of the window and it is DARK. No light comes in at all unless there is a gap. The silver side (should face the outside) is not crazy reflective, so you dont have to worry about it blinding someone outside. Lol. We've definitely seen a huge change with our AC keeping up with our house staying in the low 70's even when its in upper 90's outside.

Truly 100% blackout
I wasn’t expecting this blackout kit to be this good, but wow—what a difference! It’s lightweight yet completely blocks out light, even during the day. Perfect for bedrooms, nurseries, or anyone needing to block out streetlights or early morning sun.The package came with everything needed: a large cut-to-size blackout sheet, tons of strong self-adhesive Velcro dots and strips, a measuring tape, and a handy storage bag. Setup was quick, and the Velcro holds extremely well without damaging the window or frame. It’s also super easy to remove and reattach if you want to let light in temporarily—no drilling, no permanent damage. Great for renters or temporary setups. I sleep better, and the room stays noticeably cooler too.Highly recommend for shift workers, light sleepers, or anyone who just wants a darker, cozier space!

Good value and creates complete blackout
I live in AZ and the sun is shining in by 4:45 am during the summer, not anymore. Picture shows one side of a patio door covered vs not covered. People have complained about the stickiness of the adhesive strips but they seem very sticky to me and the shade has not fallen down. I do not plan to take these down until fall and I have confidence I will be able to reuse next summer so great bargain. I only wish the outside color is white instead of silver. These doors face my backyard so not visible to the street which if they did face the street, I probably wouldn’t do as it does look a little cheesy from outside the house.

C+ product
This is probably the cheapest option to get what you’re looking for just didn’t work out for me comes with these sticky patches that worked in theory but if you plan on opening and closing a lot eventually they will just fall off(guess that’s why they give you so many) it’s cut to fit and yes it did block out the light but wasn’t perfect in the functionality I seen some people put the stickers on the wall some on the window. The wall works best to block out the light but the stickers don’t stay on and if you put it on the window you have to put it at the perfect spot or light will come through in all it works as a quick option but I wouldn’t count on it as a permanent solution

Should have ordered years ago
Love this for blocking the sun. Only regret is that I didn't order it years ago. Every morning the sun blazes into my office and was giving me headaches. I covered my office window with this and changed me life. No more blinding bright light. Not even anslive of sunlight is getting in and a I love it!!! I truly would put this over every window of my house but my husband won't allow it. Got it where I needed it the most and no more of that sunlight on me every morning.
