Q: Question answers from the seller say you can't use wood, but a picture shows wood burning in the stove. What am I missing?

If you read the documentation and view the pictures you will see that the "wood" is a actually a fuel stick like the other items for use with the stove. Reason I would suppose is that if you were to use natural wood that you could not put enough in it to cook with as it would not last nearly as long, or give you enough heat to even boil water. So the fuel sticks enables you to do that and overcomes the weakness of not being able to hold enough natural wood for cooking.

I made an alcohol stove from a mini-altoids tin (check on YouTube) and it works excellent!

What do you mean by "fit". if you mean inside of the coghlans stove then no. Please give me more details.
