This Qwick Trim Brisket Fat Trimmer is the only trimmer you will ever need. It slides effortlessly along the side of meat, trimming just the fat that you want to trim. We were smoking a 14 LB Brisket & I needed a fat trimmer of sorts as I didn't just want to hack away at it with a knife or a filet knife which could be clumsy & cumbersome with a big cut of beef. This Qwick Trim Brisket Fat Trimmer worked great & gets a 5 ratting from me. I also order replacement blades.

This product does do what it is supposed to do. However, after nearly slicing a portion of my thumb off and requiring stitches, I would encourage you to make very sure that this is the product you want and that you wear some sort of safety glove on your off hand while use slice/trim with the other hand. Also, a family member tried to wash it and also cut herself, too. Granted, that's great that it is sharp, but again, please, please, please handle with care and use this product with great caution if you choose to purchase it. I'm still giving it 3/5 stars 'cause it does do what it is supposed to do, but I can't give it more for safety concern reasons.

Had my doubts but this thing really works! It is very easy to use; greatly reduced the amount of meat attached to the fat I trimmed off my brisket; left behind a smooth surface and more meat! Can't go wrong with this gadget when it reduces waste and you are dealing with rather expensive cuts. Highly recommend!

Waste of money. Advertised to be "surgical" sharp, I figured the short blade supported on either end would cut fat like butter. Nope. Just get yourself a nice sharp kitchen knife. You'll have better control and you can sharpen it far better than this piece of junk.

We smoke pork all the time and I was using this tool to remove skin off the shoulder. I slipped and also cut a chunk out of my finger. I am no longer allowed to use this tool but is is worth every penny, just be careful!.

Works great for briskett fat and silverskin. Not so good on Pork Tenderloin as my knife did quite a bit better. This device is great for large cuts of meat. A smaller version would be better for Pork Tenderloin.
