31 Wildly Intricate and Fun to Color Landscapes by Dr. Angela Porter – printed on one side of page
The media could not be loaded. I always have a lot of fun coloring books by Dr. Angela Porter. They are usually a single subject or a mandala and are somewhat easy to color. “Entangled Landscapes” is a really different kind of coloring book and one that I am having a blast with. The landscapes in this book are wildly imaginative and abstract. There are all sorts of small and intricate elements to these designs. I didn't have any problems figuring out what was what. Simply that there is so much in each designs that it is fun to color in bits and pieces. These are not what I would call fast and easy projects, in fact, the reverse. There are many details and some of the coloring is pretty much “insanely intricate” which makes sense as the book is part of that line from Creative Haven. For my first project, I chose to transition the sky at the top of the page first. I then moved to the ocean scene towards the bottom. Then to the cloud city and then back to the stalagmite and stalactite cavern underground. Then on to all of the other fun parts of the design. This is what I found when coloring in this book and testing my coloring medium on the paper. In the comments section below, I will list the coloring medium I use for testing and which I use generally for coloring my projects.31 Highly Detailed and Intricate Landscape DesignsPrinted on one side of the pagePaper medium weight, white, lightly rough and perforated. If you have colored in a Creative Haven book in the last couple of years, this is the standard paper they are now using.Glue bound; however, pages can be removed easily at perforationsDesigns stop before the perforationsAlcohol and water based markers bleed through to some degree (alcohol based bleeds through freely and water based leave spots of color on the back of the page.)Gel pens and India ink pens leave shadows of color on the back of the page. India ink can bleed through in spots with repeated layers.Coloring pencils work well with this paper. I was able to use both wax and oil based pencils equally well. They lay down good color, layer and blend well. Hard lead pencils leave dents on the back of the page.

Worth The Wait
I really like the coloring books from Creative Haven. Out of all of the books I own, many of my favorites are from this company. The paper is always good and the designs and artwork always make me smile. The same can be said from this latest offering, Insanely Intricate Entangled Landscapes. This is a book you can sink your teeth into. You will need small tipped pens or sharp pencils for this one but the artwork is whimsical and fun. I like a variety of sources to choose from and sometimes I like small intricate work, and when I do, I will pick this one up, sometimes I like larger images without so much detail. This is a fun book all around though. Every page is filled with a special scene that has a lot going on. I also like zen tangle so I think this book is really cool. This is a great book to focus on and destress. Filling in each of these pictures will take a long time so I won't get tired of this one anytime soon. This has great artwork and you can't go wrong with the books from Creative Haven. I've had this on preorder since the beginning of the year and I really love it.

LOVE ENTANGLED BOOKS
I love these entangled books there some of my favorite books just lots of fun when you are in the mood for something very detailed. Its a great book nice paper and single sided. Which is great because on these entangled books I like to use different mediums when coloring. I like gels markers pencils and chalks so on these I can use all 4 and it still looks good. And you don't have to worry about the ink going through to the next page. I recommend this book and all the entangled books by creative haven they are all amazing. And lots of fun. I use every color I have so even if I stop for a day or tow I can pick right back up where I left off. This one though is cool because you may have a desert scene and some flowers maybe a rainbow. What ever .. they are so fun and I love this book . But they are very detailed so if you don't like overly detailed pictures this book is not for you

Pages are filled with whimsical, intricate designs with tiny details to color
Notice...Amazon's title of this coloring book: Creative Haven Insanely Intricate Entangled Landscapes... the descriptive words, "Insanely Intricate", are incredibly important because the majority of pages in this book are filled with intricate, tiny details that need to be colored in.The pictures are whimsical, charming & very detailed, but will take patience, a steady hand & a sharp colored pencil to color in the fine details. For those of you who like to color a copy of the page (rather than color the page in the book), you might want to enlarge the page to make coloring it easier.I absolutely love all the whimsical landscapes in this book - the drawings are cute & fun. Before I begin most of these designs, I will need to gather up all my patience, pull out my Prismacolor Verithin pencils & my Crayola Twistables, put on some relaxing music & then start coloring the fun pics.I've been coloring for fun since 2008 & always use colored pencils. The pages in this book are filled with more intricate, fine details than any other book I own.For this book, colored pencils that hold sharp points will work best.I will use Prismacolor Premier Verithin Colored Pencils, 36 Pack because they have harder lead & hold sharp points, and Crayola 30 Count Twistable Colored Pencils which also work nicely when coloring tiny details.Tonight I began coloring my favorite picture in this book..."Why is it my favorite?" I'm sure you can't wait to know. It's my favorite because there's a friendly, smiling flying dragon in it!Update: I colored the majority of the picture using Prismacolor Verithin pencils. It took me a few evenings to finish.I really, really like the designs in this book, just wish the details weren't so teeny tiny.
