Q: Where do i get a lid to cover after the fermentation is complete? i really can't use this until i have one that fits! thank you.

I don't leave the fermented products in it. I then make hot sauce and put it into something else. Most of the fermentation is a salt brine that isn't kept, at least in what I am doing.

Q: Do wide-mouth mason jar lids with rings fit this jar?

I don’t think so. The opening looks too big. Mine came with the lid and the little gas escape valve. It worked great last year and in fact, I just filled it today with cabbage from my garden to make sauerkraut.

Q: What size (diameter) is the hole in the lid?

The actual hole is small, about 10mm? There is also a rubber seal that fits into the hole which the syringe fits into. Then the syringe has a relatively airtight seal. It's in use or I would measure it.
