It works from an app on your smartphone. There is a cost. It does seem pricey but for me my pups safety is worth the price. The app is easy to use. Once all the info is entered (which is not difficult) it will begin to track your pup. You can even put a picture of you pup. It will show the picture on the map of where your pup is and also there is a blue dot of where you are. While you are looking for your pup it will track where the pup is and where you are, so you can see how close you are to you pup. I am really impressed with it. I have 2 dogs and it will track both of them.

In the USA, our trackers can connect to the following networks: AT&T Mobility, Viaero Wireless USA, T-Mobile USA, and Verizon USA. Therefore, if the Verizon network is the strongest in the area, the tracker will connect to Verizon, yes :)
