YAKIMAFAT STRAPS FOR TWOTIMER AND FOURTIMER PAIR

I bought these as a replacement for a strap that went missing, I don't have a fat bike but it will definitely fit any size tire. I plan on trimming mine down because I couldn't find the regular kind. Installation was super easy, took a few seconds.

The original 12" long straps were too short -- the extra 3.5 inches in length made the perfect replacement straps to fit over the rear fat tires of the RadRover ebike on our Yakima HoldUp 2" Hitch Tray Bike Rack.The photos represent the 'before' condition - I learned that I need to make the changes to the rack when I picked the bikes up from the retailer. Fortunately I had some random cords and straps to temporarily make it work.Note: To make this rack work correctly with the (heavy) fat tire e-bikes, I did two additional things:1) Removed the plastic endcaps on each of the front tire holders -- simply drilled out and removed two aluminum rivets on each one, then pried them off with a large screwdriver. This step is needed to fit the front tires into the wider metal loop. Yakima gear is brilliantly simple and durable and replaceable. Just added this to the rack with a simple push in on the tab of the current strap and tug to remove it. To install this is a reverse of that. should easily fit over the fat girl tire which will also push the cups down a little flatter. I am using them on a Hold Up2 to allow me to use the rack as intended versus use of a bungee, which is not ideal. Also plan to adapt the front tire tray to fit the fat girls 4" tire by popping off the outer rim. though it wouldn't cost Yakima all that much to make it removable for fat tires instead of creating a whole new rack which is kind of horrible in every way. will report back once i have used this to secure the fat girl.

One of the strap on my bicycle rack broke, just can't find these straps at the bike store.

Easy to swap between the regular strap and the Fat bike strap on my Yakima rack. Used it thru 1 snow fat bike season and help up with no issues. My tires are 26x4.5” and the strap worked great.

Strap I got only fit road tires, this one works with wide mountain bike tires.

This is not a stand alone strap. Does not come with a latching means. It us an extension to another strap that presumably has a latch mechanism.
