Great cologne and maybe has a little to do with price
This is a great cologne for the price. It is manufactured by the same manufacturer of Jovan, Coty. So it is trustworthy. The cologne is citrusy and woodsy. It lasts quite some time too, probably has something to do with their extend technology they advertise or maybe the juice is just good. It comes in a nice small square bottle so you won't have to worry when taking it on trips. And the price is great.

This is a yummy fragrance for the fall and winter seasons. Love this!
I'm one of those people who is pretty picky about fragrances, especially perfumes and Eau de Toilettes, so I was a little skeptical about this Mexx Simply Woody Eau de Toilette Spray. I get pretty suspicious of cheaper perfumes, which often don't smell as refined as the pricier ones - not to mention, hardly last. I'm really glad I've been giving the Mexx brand a whirl, because I really like their scents and their blends in a few that I've tried. I have yet to smell one I disliked. For lack of a better term, there's something to a fragrance spray to me that "smells" richer and more full-bodied (without being overpowering or reeky), and would indicate something more expensive than average. This particular scent does that, although I'm not sure I can put a finger on it. I love the blend in this, as it does remind me of the woods, for some reason - maybe because of the more earthy rosemary and bergamot in it. I was worried this would be a little musky, but it's not - but it still has a "woodsy" essence to it. It truly has a "fresh" and "clean" smell that is also a little soft and flirty with notes of floral. With it being Fall, it just seems to fit right in with the season. Hubs loves it on me, too. Most Eau de Toilettes don't last very long, and while I won't claim this one is as long lived as, say, a full perfume - it definitely lingers around for many hours and doesn't seem to fade as fast as others. I don't have to douse myself in it to get the full effect, and 1 spray delivers a nice amount for me to dab around the right spots on my wrist and neck for a more subtle appeal. The bottle design is very simple, and it comes in a perfume box that's ready to give.Overall, for the price, I'm pretty pleased. It smells more "expensive" than it actually is, and it actually lasts, too. It gets two thumbs up from me!

great for price
Do not be fooled by the reviews- I bought ‘Woody’ hoping for a unisex scent, and it 100% smells like straight up cologne. With that being said, though, it smells very nice, and after it wears off for a while it smells much less harsh and some of the sweeter notes come out. My favorite thing is it’s longevity- I wasn’t expecting it to last as long as it did, but the scent lasted the entire night after applying it mid afternoon, and it still smelled in the morning after I woke up. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I was expecting a more unisex, musty/fruity scent but this certainly is a masculine scent-it smells like any average cologne until the notes start to change after wearing for a while.

Not Bad for the Price
Any time I want to buy a fragrance without having actually experienced it for myself, I consult with the community on Fragrantica.com, a website where average folks share their opinions of various perfumes. I'd never heard of Mexx brand and thought it might be new, but quite a few Fragrantica reviewers fondly recalled wearing Mexx fragrances in high school and college back in the 1990s. Not necessarily a ringing endorsement but I decided to give these a go.I received four bottles of their "Simply" line to try. Although they're ostensibly unisex, I feel that two are more masculine leaning (Simply Fresh and Simply Woody) while the other two are more traditionally feminine (Simply Floral and Simply Fruity). The men's scents are very similar from the outset and just about identical once they dry down. Fresh is supposedly a mix of lemon, aquatic notes and vetiver and Woody is rosemary, bergamot and caju fruit. I would categorize both as quite similar in spirit to old school drugstore brands like Brut or Aqua Velva. Alcohol forward with a slight herbal/pine accord. The women's scents are more distinct from one another, but don't have the lasting power of the men's. Within two hours, the aroma is just about completely gone. Fruity is described as a mix of orange, rose and cedarwood, while Floral is lotus flower, black currant and praline. Fruity smells artificial and very sweet, like Sweet Tarts or Skittles, while Floral (my favorite of the four) is an old school white floral. Sort of a poor man's version of Anais Anais. In terms of general quality - projection, lasting power and complexity - I'd rate these with inexpensive body sprays you can get at Bath & Body Works or the drugstore. For the price, they really aren't bad. If you're in high school or college and money is tight, you could certainly do worse.

fresh pleasant smell
The fragrance is very pleasant, and it smells like fresh flowers and herbs. It lasts very long for an eau de toilette. The smell is not too strong, but it lasts and lasts. I like it very much. The bottle looks ok and sprays well. I wasn't sure if they would put women's fragrance in a gray bottle but it said it is for women. I do think it is for women, not men. I like it a lot.
