Works Well and is Easy to Read
Our old weather station went kaput. The transmitter quit working. We got this as a replacement. It has been very accurate so far. We like the fact that the indoor and outdoor readings are in different colors. It is smaller than the previous one, but that's okay. It does stay lit at night, but it's not too bright. Good for a night time prowl! We're very pleased.

AcuRite Wireless Home Weather Station with Color Display and Remote Sensor.
I am using this unit to display the temperature inside our home and the remote sensor to track the temperature in our outside Greenhouse which is about 20 feet from the base unit. This has worked thru the summer and winter reliably. The display is a good size and legible from across the room but the base unit is in our bedroom and is too bright at night even when set to low intenisty so I simply put a cover over it at night and all is well. Easy to use. I would like an additional sensor to measure the outside temp but this unit works for my needs.

Acurite's "Customer Service Support" Upgrade!
This is a follow-up to my original review concerning Acurite's Customer Service support. My first review is just below this update...Update: On January 12th, Acurite sent me an email asking for additional information. They stated that the weather station was warranted for one year and that they needed purchase information that would prove my date of purchase, model number, etc. To my delight, Acurite mailed a new weather station replacement and I received it on January 23rd. Therefore, I have changed my two star review on Acurite's customer service to a four star review. Just know that if you need to contact the Acurite customer service people, it is a very slow process. However, they did come through. My hope now is that the weather station backlight will function well and not die out on us again!Original Review: I purchased and received our Acurite Weather Station Model 02077M on November 9, 2018. Set up was reasonably easy. The Weather Station works with batteries but it can also be plugged in. If it's plugged in, the batteries work as a backup if there is a power outage. When the Weather Station is plugged in, there is a "backlight" that lights within the unit. It stays on constantly and allows you to see all of the readings plainly from across the room. Nice feature. If it's not plugged in and just runs on batteries, it's appearance is very dark, but it continues to track all temperature reading. Without the light, you literally have to go up to the unit to see the readings. After setting ours up, we left our Weather Station plugged in with batteries in for a backup. The back light worked for 6 weeks and died. The readings were still there, but no light. I called the customer service phone number listed in the Instruction Manual and listened to a recording that told me there was no longer a customer service number. I was to go on line to contact them. On December 26. 2018, I contacted them at their website and sent an online email to customer service describing the backlight dying. I received an immediate automated response back saying customer service would review the problem and get back to me. Today is January 8, 2019. It has been two weeks. Acurite Customer service never responded. Would I purchase an Acurite Weather Station again? No. The reason: Acurite's "Customer Service Support" doesn't exist.

Liked the first one so much, bought another
I bought one of these for work several years ago, it wasn't the color version, but it lasted for many years and was as accurate as the National Weather Service for this area. Unfortunately, a strong wind took out the sensor and I was pretty bummed. I had to have another so I bought this one since it is colorful. It's much nicer and easier to read.

A very good unit for a very good price
This is a very nice weather station. Once you get it set up the way you want it, it performs well. It has almost all the features that I wanted, and they all work as advertised. The temperature readings are accurate, as is the barometric pressure (see below). I never pay much attention to the humidity readings, as those sensors are subject to all sorts of variations (However, after many months of ownership, I find that the humidity readings are helpful, if not perfectly accurate). The only negative that I can think of is that it is not possible to set the clock to the 24-hour format. I like to use the 24-hour format, even though I'm in the USA, but for most users this would not be an issue. Here are some other things that potential buyers might want to know:1) Setting up most of the features is not particularly difficult, but manually setting up the barometric pressure is a bit of a challenge. Many people won't care about that, but I do. I wanted to set it to the reading at our local airport, and it took me about 15 minutes to get it right. The procedure is addressed in the manual, but it could be explained a little more clearly. (The unit does have a 14-day "learning period" during which, I assume, it's supposed to eventually automatically detect the barometric pressure. I neither wanted to wait, nor did I trust this feature to get it right, so I switched from "automatic" to "manual" to set it myself.)2) The display is very clear and colorful IF IT IS BELOW EYE LEVEL. The more it is above eye level, the more washed out it will be. In other words, you want to place this weather station where you will be looking down at it.3) It is unrealistic to expect devices like this to actually forecast the weather. This is tough enough for supercomputers to accomplish. If you want a real weather forecast, go to a weather website or watch the Weather Channel.4) While the literature never explicitly says so, I believe that the time-date function is tuned to the National Bureau of Standards atomic clock [after months of ownership, I have concluded that this is not so; the clock runs just a little bit fast and has to be manually reset]. There is a separate button battery to power this function, which is why the time and date are correct right out of the box. Of course, you do have to set the time zone and whether or not daylight saving time is used in your area.5) The product information clearly says that this unit is designed to be plugged in. Do not expect it to be otherwise. The batteries are only for back-up in case of a power failure. Be sure to put in the three AAs so you don't lose all your settings if the power goes out or you have to unplug the unit.6) Read the manual.

Weather station
After doing some googling to find the instructions. Because it doesn’t come with any. It’s fairly easy to set up. Good temperature readings. If you’re not looking at it straight on, it’s very hard to read the temperature. Overall, not to bad. The main thing is trying to read it. 🤔

I like the display, and all the colors. Easy to read, inside and outside temperature. Nice looking and a good value for the money. Easy to set up
