I’m sorry I don’t remember... I think white. I got this for a gift and remembered it was adorable and they loved it!

does this open to a square shape with the lambs head in the middle?

Kinda, the lambs head is on one end of the square, so essentially it's a square with a lambs head on on corner. My daughter love it, it's her security blanket.

What are the diminsions? There are some that are large and some that are smaller.

I got the original for my granddaughter, it started showing wear from the " love" so I purchased the "new design". The face is different but the size cannot be larger than 14x14. I am thinking 12x12. Lamby goes everywhere..... A purchase well worth it. Not sure why company changed facial design.
