Even My Wife Loves This Thing!!!
Tore out 20,000 lb (3000sqft) of Saltillo tile without a hiccup over six days. Re-sharpened the bits a few times. Could have done the entire job with two bits (the 2" tile bits). Incredible machine. (Keep bits cool between grindings by dipping in cool water!!! Otherwise you'll kill the temper on the bit and they will dull quickly!!!)Then I had to re-shape three hideous Kiva fireplaces after saw cutting. With a point bit and the small 1" chisel, the job was a snap. Then, I had to replace four vent covers off my foam roof with larger ones. The 6" grout chisel slid along the galvanized without harming it and peeled back the foam with ease. Then, I had to tear out the tile shower in the master bath. With the 1" chisel blade, it cracked the wall tile and the point chisel easily cracked the floor pan, popping it clear of the slab. Hard work made much easier with this machine. Then, I had to chisel out between saw cuts in the living room floor receptacle and in the shower floor where I had to re-locate a drain. Cake. Took a few minutes.THEN, my wife, who was dutifully pulling up carpet nail strips with a hammer and chisel, saw how easy the Bosch did the job, now SHE is using it to get all the nail strips up. Initially leery of a $700 tool, she has said more than once how absolutely indispensable this thing has been on this remodel job. We even used it to pull off baseboards! This Bosch is a very precise "destroyer." it brings a tremendous amount of energy to a small area and allows you to control that energy to your advantage. After paying for itself many times over, we'll still hold on to it after we are through because it makes digging holes for plants much easier here in rocky Phoenix! I even have more patio tile to remove at some future date. Awesome tool indeed. Indispensable! One note: TAKE CARE OF YOUR BITS!!! You have to put a tiny amount of the supplied grease on the bit shanks to keep the bits from wearing the hammer chuck. Clean them every time you remove one and only use a pea-sized amount on the next bit you use. That will keep the chuck in great shape and keep the bits running smooth and cool.I'd give this thing ten stars if I could.

Worth the extra money
I used this to drive 52 inch piles (1 and 1/2 inches in diameter) into the ground to support concrete piers in February in Minnesota. I placed 32 piles in a few hours. Highly recommend this tool.
I don't think I've ever had a tool that so greatly exceeded my expectations. I had a >1,000 sq ft stone patio and a stone/brick fireplace/grill I had to take out. After spending a good part of a day with a sledgehammer, I decided to get the 11316EVS SDS-Max demolition hammer. I had figured that it would take me 2-3 days to take out the patio/fireplace. In fact, it took less than an afternoon (other than debris removal, of course). The tool is not exactly lightweight, but is easily handled and readily adjustable with respect to the handle and orientation of the bit. I later invested in a spade bit, and this has proved to even more useful than the demolition applications. In my area you soon encounter what people refer to as decomposed granite underneath a thin layer of topsoil. You can go through this stuff (very slowly) with a pick if you hit it just right. With the Bosch/spade bit, I was able to dig a 10" deep by 4" wide and 20 ft long trench through this rock in less than two hours. My brother-in-law used this in clay/adobe "soil" to dig a hole in 15 minutes the same size as one that had taken him 2-3 hours with a pick and shovel. I also used the spade bit in an unconventional way, to go through a very large and inaccessible tap root from a small tree. There's also an accessory you can get that allows you to pound rebar and the like. I put in an 8ft ground rod in about five minutes. All in all, an extremely versitile and well-functioning tool.

Made in Germany and solid as a rock. Can use both hands on top handle.
The media could not be loaded. Feels like it will last forever. Fast speed for concrete and rock, slow for the shovel bit.It won’t get through an enormous rock, but it will break up a foot wide rock and any amount of concrete. If you’re digging sono tubes for concrete you’re gonna need a long bit, I’d say 48 in.

Very Powerful.
Very powerful. I repaired about 6 - 5 ft long cracks, chiseling 1/2" to 1-1/2" deep, from eye level to my ankles, and it bored out perfect grooves in about 20 minutes total. I used a Bosch HS1911 SDD-max Hammer Steel 12" Flat Chisel. No noticeable wear at all. It is a bit heavy to do as much as I did as fast as I did. I spent about an hour both boring my grooves (20 minutes) and mixing/filling in with the cement/mortar (45 minutes). I could have hired someone to do the job as this is the only reason I bought the Hammer. But even with purchasing everything, I spent less than I would have hiring someone to do it for me. So now I have the Hammer as well. It is a great tool.

The best tool EVER.
This is the best tool I've ever bought! My wife and I are remodeling our house. When we bought the house the foundation was cracked in a dozen places. Many thought the ground was moving so we got a good deal on it. Before we bought it I inspected it and found that the footings were only 3" thick and there was no grout in the block. We dug out 380 tons of hard clay with this demo hammer. We move 18,000 5 gallon buckets. If it wasn't for this tool breaking up that clay, I think we couldn't have been successful. Now we have new solid basement walls and footings and a full walk out basement.I've loaned this hammer to several friends. One went out the next day and bought one for himself.

Absolutely amazing
I have owned this for over a year now and I have a total of 4 different bits for it. Five stars all the way. I use the spade bit in our rocky clay soil and it is an absolute breeze. Well worth the money.
