INTEX SX1500 Krystal Clear Sand Filter Pump for Above Ground Pools: 1500 GPH Pump Flow Rate – Improved Circulation and Filtration – Easy Installation

This is how big of a difference this pool pump made in less than 2 days. First picture is with the provided Intex pump running daily for 1 week. Other 2 pictures are with this sand filter running for 36 hours. I was so excited to get this pool for the summer for my kids and was feeling very discouraged by the water slowly turning into a swamp. So after reading other reviews I decided to give this pump a try. It is worth every penny. For reference the size of our pool is 14’ x 48”. You do need adapters for the hoses, but I ordered them on Amazon and they were very easy to switch out.

Buy it!!! We have well water unfortunately. We ended up using that faucet that isn’t plugged into the water softener tank. First picture is finally getting the pump up and going around 2pm. Second picture was 6am this morning. 3rd picture was day 3!! Backwashed it and I was disgusted with all the iron that came out. But also very very happy! Going to let them pump run again all day and night and backwash in between.! I’m very happy with this sand filter! Every year I’ve been buying a new one and the pumps wasn’t doing enough. This is definitely a go to pump! Final results!

I had some issues with the delivery from Amazon. However, once received….this was totally worth it. Ditch that amateur pump that comes with your liner and upgrade to this bad boy. I was super scared of doing this at first but after throwing away a $600 pool because I did not know how to upkeep. I decided to give it another try with more research. This is completely worth it. I will say you may need to buy additional parts to switch over to this pump, but there are wonderful YouTube videos that I highly advise to watch prior to doing this. All of the parts that you will need including adapters are all available on Amazon with fairly quick delivery. This is the 2800 sand pump on a 14 foot 2,700 gal. pool. It took about 9 hours, 5 backwashes, one GOOD shock to clear. Here are my before and afters.

This is a must for any and all above ground pool owners. Huge upgrade from what comes with the pool when purchased. This turned my GREEN pool clear in less than 3hrs of run time. Overall the quality seems to be a better plastic based material that is durable and tough. The water flow is a hugeeeee upgrade and forces the water to the opposite end quickly. The basket is also way easier to prime and clean. This has multiple modes and has an easy timer that can auto shut off after your desired run time. Overall beyond happy with purchase

It did what we needed it to do which was turn our swamp green pool, crystal clear again! We got lazy and left our pool uncovered this winter which resulted in green water full of debris. About 2 weeks of running the pump ~12 hrs/day (plus a few shock and algaecide treatments) brought it back to life.My only complaint is that this newer model doesn't seem much of an upgrade. We had the previous model (SF60110-2) for 8 years. It still worked great but we needed to change out the sand this year so we decided to just upgrade the whole pump. This model not only has a much smaller filter tank, but the pump also makes less power and it did not include an inlet plunger valve and strainer. We decided to use the old tank and will keep the new one as a backup. Either way, it definitely did the job and helped us meet our goal of having the pool open for Memorial Day weekend!

We’ve used this filter pump for about a month now and 100 percent do I recommend this filter. Upgraded our filter system from the old C300 little paper filters to this bad boy for our 10 foot pool. I was changing or cleaning paper filters every three days sometimes more at the height of summer and the pool sort of felt clean, but this is incredible. The pool is crystal clear. I also upgraded to a salt chlorinator and I’m so pleased. The pool strips are always in the perfect range.

Great Sand Filter Pump!The 18'x42' Coleman pool I have did not have a great filter pump. The pump that came with the pool was too small for keeping 7,000 gallons of water clean and the chemicals balanced. I needed more flow to keep the water circulating.The pump I just installed has a timer, recirculate feature, backwash, rinse and filter. It’s easy to install and I think it’s priced well too.I’ve had a good summer, with less work needed in my pool care. The water flows a lot better, is crystal clear, and it’s easier to keep the chemicals in balance. I haven’t had any issues with water getting stagnant or algae.Also when putting the sand in for the first time, add half the sand and wet in so it settles then fill with the rest of the sand to fill line and wet again, check to see if it's at least at the fill line, if not you'll need to add more.

This was an easy setup! I am so glad we upgraded from the standard pump that came with the intex pool. No more washing out filter cartridges. All you have to do is select the backwash setting to easily clean your pump!
