When set up the stand is 8.75" across and just under 3" tall.

Where is the Dutch oven tool made?

Disappointingly, both the trivet (which can be used as a lid-lifter) and the actual long handled lid lifter are both made in China. The oven is made in Tennessee. I thought I was getting ALL U.S.A. made goods. :(

Anyone use this as a pie iron trivet ... to cool after removing from the campfire?

It works well with the Dutch Oven Lid. It should work with the pie iron trivet.
