Gideal Cork Board 24 x 36 Inch Bulletin Board, Cork Notice Board 100% Wood Framed Brazil Imported, Bulletin Boards for Walls, Mounting Hardware Push Pins Included

I ordered this because it looks sleeker than the typical cork board and I needed it for a recently renovated office space. A lot of other reviews reported damage upon delivery, but mine was well packaged with no damage. It came with some push pins and hardware to mount it, but we used the Command velcro-type strips to tack it to the wall, which worked like a dream. Using the command strips made it easier to hang is level. It's not feather light, but it is light enough to be easily carried and maneuvered. It arrived looking exactly as it does in the pictures and is large enough for us to hang our work compliance posters on it.

**update**the seller was quick to contact me after my review and resolve my issue. they offered to send me a new item-their cost- and asked for me to update my review.Cons- still very little actual cork -mostly styrofoamPros: -very aesthetically pleasing item-lightweight-sturdy frame-grey and black is great combovery disappointed. The photo showed the back being able to come off, like a framed piece of art. It did not come off easily, it was stapled. Perhaps this was to hide the fact that only 1/16” of the back was cork, the rest was styrofoam. I wanted to mount a map to this board and it wasn’t possible . the frame was sturdy.

I have this in my office. It is sturdy and looks very nice.I ended up using the hanging hardware that they consider as 'extra hardware'. These were pieces that were nailed to the back and slide over the mounting screws. It was a little more difficult to hang this way, but all the hardware is hidden.

This is a very nice-looking bulletin board and I liked the way it turned out. But mounting sure was more difficult than I expected. Per the instructions it is supposed to be mounted using clips at top and bottom which screw into the outside of the frame. This makes it very sturdy when mounted but a real challenge to get the clips screwed into the frame after they've been attached to the wall. Not to mention getting the 4 brackets all lined up exactly where they need to go. I should mention that the unit came with what looks like some alternate (less sturdy) mounting brackets where you could just put two of the large screws into the wall not quite flush, put the two "keyhole" style brackets on the back of the unit with small screws, and then slide the whole thing onto the wall mounted screws. But the instructions don't talk about that option at all. Those pieces just appear in the parts list. I've included a photo of the leftover parts after following the instructions with the heavy/sturdy brackets.

Update:Though the first one had many issues, customer service was amazing. They refunded me and sent me a smaller board which has been perfect.The frame is pretty, but it's low quality overall. When it arrived the staples holding the cork to the frame were not actually pushed through so I had to hammer them all in to make the two pieces stay together. The cork itself is too soft and not dense enough. Pins just slide right back out of it with something as light as a sheet of paper. Very frustrating considering the price.Update: the company's customer service was able to give me a partial refund and with some adjustments I have been able to use the corkboard happily.

The first one I ordered arrived damaged with the cork chipped off. Getting it replaced was easy. However, after using it for 2 years, I'm really disappointed. The cork is just a thin layer (probably about 1-2mm thick) over styrofoam. If you rearrange things often on the board or try to hang something heavy (like a wall calendar) on it, the cork layer chips off. Furthermore, the push pins fall out really easily since the cork is so thin and the underlayer of styrofoam is not at all dense, and therefore doesn't hold things in. Since the frame itself is nice enough, I'm going to rip out all of this crappy styrofoam and cork and replace it with some 1/2" cork tiles.Update: After posting the above review, the company emailed me with offers to replace the bulletin board or help compensate for the replacement cork that I ordered. I declined the offer, but appreciated their efforts and customer service.2nd Update: Despite me posting the previous update, the company has continued to email me every couple of weeks asking me to change my review from 1 star to 4 stars. This has now been going on for several months. I commend them for trying to offer good customer service, but I would have preferred a quality product. I am not going to change the number of starts on my review since the product is still bad, no matter how many emails they send me. I've had to block their email address at this point.

We ordered five of these bulletin boards. They all arrived in perfect shape, were well packed and look great on the wall of our church, light weight and easy to install with all necessary brackets. Would recommend them.

Have purchased and returned three other brands to find one that is well made and attractive.

Product arrived disassembled. We had to nail the backing onto the frame again. Further, the frame itself looks like beat up scraps that were painted over. For the price, it looks like something we could of made ourselves. Not to pleased with this product overall since we purposely didn't get a basic cork board and were prepared to spend the money on something nicer.
