Very good SSD
I bought the 1Tb version of the EVO 970 to replace the 500Gb SSD in an Asus UX501VW. The drive worked great with no need to update the BIOS. I was worried that this SSD would run too hot in the laptop, but looking online it appeared that it was actually cooler under load than the old drive (Samsung XP941). I think this has proved to be the case and the laptop appears to be running cooler under load than it did with the old SSD installed, although this is just my impression as I haven't taken any actual temperature readings. The drive also appears quicker than the old one, disk to disk copies are very rapid. I wasn't sure that there would be much performance improvement as the laptop only has a PCIE x4 2.0 interface, not 3.0, but this drive is definitely quicker. It was the increased drive size, relatively cool ssd (compared to the existing one), the fact that the drive was made by the market leader, and the hope that as I was replacing a Samsung drive with a Samsung drive compatibility issues would be less likely, that steered me towards the EVO 970. All in all I'm very happy with this drive.

Bam .... 1TB rapid SSD performance ... Lovely :)
It is what it is ... a rapid M.2 1TB SSD. Whacked into a new build PC as boot and software storage ... it's great. Very speedy and plenty of capacity for the future. Pricey but you get what you pay for and these samsung M.2 drives review superbly. Now I can see why. Great SSD.

Very Good Price Blistering Performance.
Very easy to fit, just one small screw required to secure under it's own heatsink on my motherboard. Using it as my Windows 10 system drive and it was recognised during the install with no problems at all. At approx £150 it may seem expensive but when you think of the advantages you get from a M2 drive, vastly reduced loading times and no messing about with SATA cables it is well worth it as far as I'm concerned.

So much speed
Going from a regular sata m.2 to an nvme isn't a huge jump but this i noticed. When i have most applications on my computer open on startup, the old sata m.2 would struggle but this beast powers through at lightning speed. I've even shifted some of my most played games to this drive and loading screens have been slashed which is a welcome change. No issues with this at all, excellent drive.

Improved the performance of my computer.
I bought this to improve the performance of my computer. It was simple to install, hardly takes up any room because it is so thin and was well worth the money.

Faster, but such a pain to install
It has been very trying to get this drive working in my laptop, and I'm not sure it's even over yet. But, having said that; I bought it because a few of my games had load times so long as to render them unplayable... and they don't anymore. So I got what I wanted, but it was substantially harder to get there than I expected.(This is my personal experience using this product with an Alienware Laptop. Your experience may be different.)

M.2 NVME GREAT PRODUCT
Even if you dont need one id recomend purly on the speeds these can acheive, nothing better then seconds in boot time to get in to windows from the time you power, on great load time when playing games compared to SSD or HDD, the price in 2020 for M.2 NVME is also another reason for recomending these.A++++ product.
