I have older 1987 RSG 550, 560, 1550, and one Prestige, and I don't remember where it was made, my old models were all made in Japan and this thing sounded great with stock pickups, I upgraded with Floyd Rose and EMG pickups 57/66, I kind and my lead guitarist likes this guitar the most, I only bought cause of the color combination and made my own guitar.
