At 5'3-1/2, 150 pounds, for older adult female, the XL comes well below a thick midriff and ends at about mid-hip The sleeves with thumb holds are long, but provide the sun protection I want from this product. The material is polyester, with interior seams at the sides and inner aspects of the arm sleeves. The XL is baggy, but allows me to wear a thin baselayer underneath. I have also worn it alone without a baselayer. The product does not come with too much sizing in the fabric.

Does this come in Extra Small in Black?
