I don't know the exact lb rating, but I have caught several 25+ lb salmon using them and never had a problem.

Will these bead chains work in the Do- IT molds??

Yes they work with DoIt molds fine. I placed the bead chain on the brass eye prior to casting lead. On in line and other trolling sinkers.

Has anyone had any issues with these failing? I'm looking to use them on lake Ontario for salmon and trout Wondering if they'd hold up.

These are an excellent product. We use these on King Salmon we are catching at Yan Kee Way Lodge in Chile. Some of these are Kings whichy exceed 50 and 60 pounds (as the photos demonstrate). Use them with confidence as long as you purchase the correct size for the the anticipated weight of the fish you are seeking.
